During the classic ancient Greek era, the Olympic games were enough reason to stop all wars among the different Greek City States. Not a bad idea if you ask me.

Of course, for it to be good for both side there would have to be peice and we both know that won't happen.
If they agree to a cease-fire that they aren't happy with they will have no one to blame but themselves. Naturally the side that feels they got the short end of the stick will blame others and break the cease-fire in the name of fairness....
Then we'll have another thread about a new war that really is a old war and we'll again be talking in circles.
