I first remember seeing him in Problem Child. He was the grumpy grandfather and sporting goods store owner.

He also played a part in The Replacements, the movie based on the 87 Skins.

He was. Jack Warden played Max Corkle, a trainer for the Rams in Heaven Can Wait. He was nominated for an Oscar for that role.

Ha ha ha ha. You're right! I had totally forgotten about the TV series. That was back in the day when TV shows were created based on movies. Now it's the other way around.

He was good in that movie. I never would have seen it, had I not been required to in my heavy senior-year class, Introductory to Film. So was the original version, which we also watched in that class, but whose name I cannot remember.

I googled it yesterday to find out his character's name in the movie, so it was easy to go back.
