Because Daniel Snyder is no fool.
He realizes what parking passes are selling for on ebay and outside the stadium on gameday. He'll find the economic equilibirium of everything in that place....if he could get away with $75 a piece and still sell them all...he would put them at $75.
The Danny is a capitalist and he understands supply v. demand. As a fellow capitalist...I love it. As a Redskins fan that's not Northern Virginia rich (....yet)....it hurts a bit.

Can u imagine the chaos that would ensue if parking was free that day?? Are you kidding me???
Sure it sounds like price gouging, but, I'm sure the neighbors in that area won't mind some form of regulating 200,000 cars from trying to jam into a free lot.
Metro is always an option, for those who find the $25 too hefty a price.

Back and better than ever!
Isn't wanting everything for free equally as greedy?
Who's going to pay for the staff that is required to 'police' the event? Personally I think catching a game and Fan Appreciation Day AND paying for parking with $25 is a pretty good deal. And if you don't agree, then you don't have to go. I pay $20-25 to park for a Toronto Maple Leafs game and that's within 5 MILES of the arena.
I could MAYBE understand people whining if they had jacked up the parking price JUST for F.A.D but it's actually CHEAPER than regular season parking.
