We need Sapp

Post by L.A Redskins »

At first i was like i hope we dont sign sapp, but i think he would be the perfect fit in our Defense. His pass rush might not be the same but hes big and he could fill the hole. Everyone knows just the way he talks fires up the Defense.

I'm tired of players who talk. Give me a player who plays. For the money Sapp will command we don't "need" him. We already have a ton of money wrapped up in our FA. Let's address the D-Line with the draft or look for help after June 1st

If Sapp played as well as he flapped his gums or was willing to sign a cap friendly contract, we wouldnt be talking about him because another team would have grabbed him as soon as FA opened up. I agree with DE Hog, give me a handful of Brandon Nobles and Cornelious Griffins and I will be happy. Players that do there job and let their plays get them on SportsCenter, NOT their sound bites or pregame activities.

I totally agree. Ill take Noble over Sapp any day. All Sapp does is cause distractions (which we OBVIOUSLY DONT NEED).

BTW: What is the word on Noble? Will he make it back after his injury last season? I saw he is still listed on the Skins depth chart at the official site.

Sapp is the last person that will wind up on a Joe Gibbs coached team, I would hate the thought of him here, he is one player that we he retires or whatever, I will be very happy for his goodbye to football, loud mouth, over payed, big and fat lazy player. All he has is his size, and the way he acts on tv. Please Joe if your reading, don't even think about it, but I know it will never happen, for all the reason listed above.

Noble's trying to come back at full force by training camp.

About Sapp, here's a quote from the Times:

The Times (trying to put an end to this thread wrote:One high-profile player the Redskins continue to insist they are not going after is defensive tackle Warren Sapp. Despite renewed speculation that Washington could be interested in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers veteran, club sources reiterated that Sapp is not on their radar screen.

This is good news. HailSkins666 and I have had our discussions re: Sapp. He likes his play, I hate his off-field style. With Cornelius Griffin in the middle, we don't need Sapp and his huge contract, even if Sapp does draw a double team every down.
