NBA Draft

Post by sch1977 »

Who do you all think will be the best NBA rookie coming out of this year's draft?

It all depends on the situations they're entering.

But if I had to pick the best college player being drafted I would have to go with..... J.J. Reddick. :puke:

RIP Kevin Mitchell 1971-2007
RIP Justin Skaggs 1979-2007

JJ... no way man!

Sure he's a shooter, but I don't believe he will be the best player in this draft, nor do I believe he will be an All Star player.

But there is a difference between College's Best Player and the Best Player in the Draft.

Option A I'd go with Adam Morrison
Option B I'd say Brandon Roy will be the best NBA Player.

I look for Rajon Rondo to have a great rookie season.
I saw this sign posted once, it said, 'blasting zone ahead'. Wow... shouldn't that read: 'Road Closed'? - Brian Regan

I would have to agree with Brandon Roy. My second pick would be Rudy Gay. He was a bit inconsistant his final year in school, but he has all the intangibles to be a phenominal player. If he is selected by the right team, he could flourish.
Hail.

Reddick will be a very nice role player in the NBA (if, by some miracle, he falls to Cleveland, I could live with the fact that I hate Duke) because today's game favors guard play but he lacks the one-on-one game to make him a star.

Yeah, so... 8-[

But what I mean to say is, I think Morrison was the best player in College who entered the draft (and the ugliest) , not that I think he'll be the best NBA player.

Actually, I think Morrison is going to stink up the joint in the NBA: A) He's slow B) He plays NO Defense (not that any other NBAers do) C) He's white

Well I live about 2 hrs away from Durham, and I can tell you that Morrison is 10 times the player JJ is? IMO of course

Yeah, but then what about Morrison.

Morrison is like the worst defender in the country. Sure he made up for it in college when he would score 40 pts. but don't think he'll be able to do that in the NBA...

Scores that can't play defense? They'll both probably wind up on the Wizards then. ;furious;

JJ has back problems that may require surgery so he is going to drop.

Morrison is a diabetic and there is talk that he will drop a few spots.

Rudy Gay may be the most talented player in the draft, he has all the tools. He can shoot short and long, he can drive the basket, he has great size, and he has great hops. The only knocks are can he be a leader he is a quiet guy and he does not push himself as hard as he maybe should.

Yahoo has us taking JJ Redick in their mock draft....

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/mockdraft?round=1

I think the best player out of this draft will be Rudy Gay.

balkman to the knicks????? Balkman is garbage. I have watched him play for a few years now and never in a million years would have taken him that early if at all. He cant score. He plays good uptempo defense but makes stupid mstakes and did i mention he cant make a basket? The knicks are continuing a downward spiral and isaiah pick is a bust. Im rooting for balkman but he has a lot of work to do.
I know this guy named Jimmy, he has a pet....POSTERNUTBAG! Thats his cats name, POSTERNUTBAG!!!

Rudy Gay and Kyle Lowry... YEAH BOY!

The Grizz are going to be stacked in a few years: Warrick, Lowry, RUDY GAY...

I used to hate my favortie B-Ball team, and now I love 'em!

Right you are---a shooter off the bench, like Kerr. He doesn't seem athletic enough for a first string player.
