Can I just say . . .

Post by newshog »

. . . how PSYCHED I am for this upcoming season?! I'm a bit of a fan of the "finesse" game (to use that terrible term), I guess--I like the mental aspects of trying to outwit the opponent, and now SOS has the tools he needs.

A lot of folks like to say that now it's all on SOS to make his team produce, though I cut him a little slack given as how this is the first year with the right kind of players. But there's no doubt that we should have a better idea of what the Fun 'n Gun is about this year. And I, for one, CANNOT WAIT! HTTR

Er, just thought I'd share. . . .

I second that thought! I am absolutely pumped about this year. I think our O-LINE is gonna be one of the best the Skins fans have seen in years. I'm also excited to see how the ol' Ball Coach uses Canidate out of the backfield. Hopefully, we now have more of the tools to run the "fun and gun" this year!!!

Personally I have always been a fan of an offense based around a big offensive line and a power runner giving you an ability to both control the line of scrimmage and use play action to get the ball down field in the passing game.

However I am really excited about the potential of our offense this season. The great thing about Spurriers offense is that it is agressive. I HATE the west coast dink and dunk ball control passing offense.

I have a really good feeling about Pat Ramsey at QB and our WRs are arguably one of the better groups in the NFL.

Given the defense playing at the same level as last year and the improvement we all expect on offense we will be a much better team this season. How many more wins that results in remains to be seen - our schedule looks like one of the harder ones in the NFL.

HTTR

I am very excited for this season. I will be donning a Hog nose and I will be watching the true gladiators grind it out in the trenches. I jsut broke out in a sweat thinking about it....wonder if my wife would let me give her a forearm shiver?

I can't wait to see how Ramsey and Coles hookup, should be a good year, we always say this but, are defense only got better, we should have a solid kicking team and are O-Line got upgraded, just as long as Ramsey can stay cool and play like I feel he can, we should come out good.

I think Patrick and Coles will have a probowl year. Look for SOS to become a HOF coach, possibly surpassing Joe Gibbs. Im glad we passed on that bum Santana Moss, we definately got the better WR.
