Jaguars ink pair of receivers
Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - The Jacksonville Jaguars bolstered their receiving corps on Friday, signing free agent wide receivers Randy Hymes and Troy Edwards to contracts.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
The 26-year-old Hymes played five seasons with the Baltimore Ravens and hauled in 43 passes for 578 yards and four touchdowns in 37-career games. Last season, Hymes played in all 16 contests (three starts) and had 11 catches for 132 yards and two touchdowns.
Edwards returns to Jacksonville where he played for two seasons from 2003-04. The 29-year-old Edwards played with the Detroit Lions last season and appeared in just three games, catching only two passes for 15 yards. The seven-year veteran has played in 92-career games and has totaled 203 receptions for 2,404 yards and 11 touchdowns.
