MI:III- Influential... YES!

Post by REDEEMEDSKIN »

I watched the thierd installment of the Mission:Impossible series over the weekend, and despite the bad pub it got last week for it's lower-than-expected box office numbers, I have to admit, the movie was awesome!!!

From the get go, the action seemed non-stop. I loved this movie. The first words outta my mouth when the credits rolled were: "This movie is LIKE that!"

Anyone else watch it? If not, you should.

Yes. Influential.

It nearly influenced my heart to stop at least 7 times during the movie.

Um ... fellas, it's well-done in terms of the action sequences but it borrows liberally from other action films including, most noticeably, 'True Lies' (bridge scene) ... it's a cotton candy flick, looks cool but very little to it. I, for one, am tired of watching the same action sequences rehashed time and time again.

Thanks for the input, Fios. It was only the second movie I've seen in theatres this year, and maybe the fourth movie in 2 years, so I came away impressed.

But, based on your critique, I'm glad I didn't pay full price to watch it.

I am a movie nerd and, admittedly, somewhat of a snob but I dig a good action film. I just felt this one was run-of-the-mill.

Admit it... you go to the movies to see all your brothers and sisters (sippy cups, that is...). Y'all talk too much when you get together.
If men can run the world, why can't they stop wearing neckties? How intelligent is it to start the day by tying a little noose around your neck?

It's all been done before... LAME.

After they turned Jim Phelps into a bad guy and had him killed off, I swore never to watch another MI movie ripoff again.

Loved the series as a kid.

The only good thing from this film was the sound quality during action sequences (like the bridge), IMO.
