This thread is great (especially the last half-dozen comments or so).
I got lucky in finding this site while I was still (relatively) young. I don't know whether or not I would have spent my college years actually caring about what ESPN, SI, or any other mainstream source would have to say about the Skins. But I don't need to worry, because now I've found a connection with lots of intelligent fans, many of whom seem to think that ESPN and SI rarely correlate with the truth. Because guys like Fios and tcwest have experienced these things first-hand, younger guys like me can benefit and learn from that.
It's much easier to be laid back about it all, anyway. Why get upset at a 16th seed in someone's "P0w3r Rankingz!!1!"
