giants pick up jai

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

He's really going to struggle trying to learn with such a crappy QB.

"crappy Qb" you mean the 24 yea old Eli who threw for 3800 yards and 24 Tds in his first full year as a starter.

OK, you need to start a new NFL franchise today. You want Brunell, Campbell,or Eli? Try to be honest.

Sorry, but Eli will be tormenting you guys for the next 10 to 12 years.

OK elchalje. If this guys last name was not Manning do you think he would be a starter in the NFL.
When the Skins play the Giants, I honestly say to myself, I am glad he is there QB.
He makes our D better.

Any 24 year old Qb who can throw for 24 TDs and 3800 yards in his first full season, and lead you to an 11-5 record in the NFC East, can start for any NFL team.

Why didn't you answer the question?

Sorry I thought you could tell by my response, that I don't like Eli all that much. He isn't a horrible QB, just overrated.

So to answer your question, Campbell.
If I'm starting a new franchise I'm not taking Brunell cause he not a long term answer.
Campbell hasn't played a down in the NFL, where as Eli has had about one and half seasons.
If Campbell plays as poorly as Eli his first 2 seasons, I don't want him or Eli.

He is horrible!

Look at the stats!!!

- 23rd in the league in passer rating behind such great QBs as Kelly Holcombe, Chris Simms (much better young QB), Kerry Collins (much better Giants QB), and David Freaking Carr!!!

- 31st in completion percentage ahead of ONLY Gus Frerotte, Kyle Orton, and JP Losman!!! This is also despite the fact that he has the three biggest targets of any QB in the league in Toomer, Burress, and Shockey!

- Tied for 31st in the NFL in interceptions with 17!!! Only Brett Favre threw more!!!

Face it, he isn't just bad, he's one of the worst QBs in the NFL!!!
This is all despite the fact that he may have the best RB in football to help him out and big targets everywhere he looks! Did you watch the playoff game against Carolina!?!?!?!? The kid doesn't even know how to throw the ball properly (note to Eli - it's usually a good idea to step towards your target and then throw). This guy is an absolute joke!

He'll be better this year... I just have a feeling he'll have a higher passer rating than Collins this year

They drafted a short guy this pass weekend. It can't be Eli's fault so they are looking for a 5-8 195 lb TE.

Brett wanted to out do a Manning in something last year but his homie Eli sure gave him a run for his money

If Tiki would stop hoggin the ball Eli would be OK, half the time the plays are designed for Tiki to throw the HB option (rumor has it he is more accurate than Eli) and half those passes were to go to Eli (same rumor says Eli would be a better slot receiver than QB down the road).

Those stats could have been alot higher had Eli not overthrown a wide open Plaxico Burress 20 times this past year. Well, it might have been more then 20 times. I just lost count at 20. Remember when we played at FedExField this past year? Your first play was a 50 yard bomb to a WIDE OPEN PLAX! Eli threw it on the wrong shoulder and over his head by at least 5 yards. That would have been 7 points if Mark Brunnell was your quarterback!

So...24 TD's. Big deal. He also threw a healthy 17 INT's.

Jay Schroeder threw 20 TD's in his first full season; the team went 12 - 4, and lost to the Giants in the NFC championship. Jay played himself onto the bench the following year, and watched Doug Williams lead five TD drives in the second quarter of SB 22.

Who would I pick? Brunell and Campbell.

Have we answered your question?

I know it's off-topic...but the crowd is right.
Eli will always put up impressive yardage numbers...but he's years away from being a real problem for anybody but his own team.
