Are we forgetting about winslow?????

Look I understand that we need major help on the d line and at safety. We have already brought in 2 new d lineman and there are still some other decent players left in the fa market but I really feel that passing up winslow would be a mistake. There arent many good catching tight ends out there and if you look at the teams that have them, they are that much more deadly on offense. Here is why, last year we had so many three in and outs. Even when it was 3rd and 4 or 5 we couldnt get anything done. Having a tight end with that ability will keep alive many of our drives and in return give our defense that was on the field a lot more rest. It is one more guy that the defense will have to cover. We have had that threat in years All I can think about is what shockey did his first year for the giants. He ate up other teams for 5 to 10 yard gains a pop.

We already have 5 TE's. We won't get another. Chamberlain, Kevin Ware, Robert Royal, Walter Rasby, and Leonard Stephens. So all the K2 talk should be put to rest.

yeh true....but the only one with decent hands is byron chamberlin....none of those tight ends can make an impact like shockey did or do what winslow is capable of

BlOCKING Tight ends wont look like a Shockey or Winslow....we go a blocking TE with Rasby..it works with Gibbs....we should fill other weak spots instead of getting a player who doesnt even fit into our system

Gibbs doesn't throw to many passes to the tight end. They are used mostly for blocking and then when the other team forgets about them we sneak a pass to the TE.
