Redskins | Team to have a pre-draft visit with D. Ryans
Wed, 12 Apr 2006 22:08:21 -0700

Ryan O'Halloran, of the Washington Times, reports a source said Alabama LB DeMeco Ryans is expected to visit with the Washington Redskins. Ryans, 6-foot-1 and 236 pounds, is projected by some as a late first-round pick in the NFL Draft.

I doubt that Ryans would be availble at pick #53. I wonder if they are looking at moving up in the draft. That would be good for us this year. But overall, all this trading 2 or three early picks to move up hurts in in the later years ... a real gamble.

Maybe they would entertain trading the 2nd and a player to move up. That might not be so bad as long as the player is somebody like Taylor Jacobs...haha

There are something like 45 or 50 players with "first round grades." They can't all be drafted with the first 32 picks.

Yeah forty or fifty, to get even the 59th ranked player we'd have to move up.

Look at the guys the have been brought in. McIntoch may not even be there at #53. Most won't be around after 24, something maybe cooking here

How do you figure we'd have to move up from #53 to draft the 59th ranked player. There is a lot of depth at LB & not every team needs 1 that badly. I expect LB's to slip because of the glut.
