LaVar finally with the Giants
Are the Gimps finally signing LaVar? Looks like he had a physical with the team yesterday as reported by Fox Sports.

Re: LaVar finally with the Giants
Here's the latest from the rumor mill @ profootballtalk.com:
GIANTS EYEBALL LAVAR'S KNEE
We're hearing that the "physical" taken by free-agent linebacker LaVar Arrington with the Giants was, in reality, an MRI on his knee.
There's been talk around the league for much of the last year that Arrington's knee contains no cartilage, making him a potential candidate for microfracture surgery if he can't tolerate bone-on-bone contact over the long haul.
We don't know for a fact whether Arrington is actually missing all of the cartilage in his knee, and we'll defer to the expert opinions of any of the licensed physcians who review the results of the MRI or otherwise inspect Arrington's knee.
Though G.M. Ernie Accorsi tries to downplay the physical, its import is as obvious as Ernie's jet black hair hat.
"He has had a physical with us," Accorsi said. "That's all that's taken place. If this triggers another round of hysteria, it will be inaccurate just like the last round. Nothing has happened in the negotiations. Obviously, you're not even going to think about a player without a physical examination. Now we have that."
There have been previous reports of disagreement among the coaching staff and the front office regarding whether to sign Arrington. He has a reputation for freelancing, and the Soup Nazi prefers a higher level of discipline.
Other teams interested in the former Redskin, who gave up $4.4 million in earned bonus money to hit the market in March instead of July, are the Packers, Bengals, Jaguars, and Dolphins.
After every game, every play & every highlight, I'll always remember #21. RIP Sean.

one of my teachers has had zero cartilage in his knee for almost 25 years...he has to get it replaced now, and he's nowhere near nfl shape, so for lavar to play with no cartilage is pretty admirable.
Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.

LAVAR IS A JINT
Looks like a done deal. It doesnt matter because Al Saunders will have Lavar so confused on the field his head will explode........ http://www.nypost.com/sports/giants/67440.htm

Looks like the contract is racked with incentives, as well it should be. Lavar, I'm sure is humbled by this whole experience. He didn't have many takers and bad representation/PR by the Poston's, along with the knee, was a big factor. Maybe he'll do well, but I'm interested to see the relationship between Coughlin and Lavar!
The weaker are always anxious for justice and equality. The strong pay no heed to either.
I would hardly say this deal is done! With the Poston's representing him anything could end up happening. They also seem to be the primary source of this information (or disinformation). They could just be trying to force someone's hand. I am still taking this news with a grain of salt. After all, we were told weeks ago that they were on the verge of a deal.

LaVar
Arrington will be playing weak side linebacker for the Giants. When Strahan breaks up the pocket and Brunell rolls left, he will be dealing with Osi Umenyiora (12 sacks) and Arrington. And, who knows where Antonio Pierce might be. Also, got a feeling that Arrington will be studying Santana's screen moves and will have a major responsibility for ensuring that they don't work like they did this past year.
Gotta be a weird feeling to see Pierce and Arrington lining up against your offense.

The New York media will crucify him if he isn't stellar...
Good luck Lavar. You just left a Contender for a Pretender.
The Giants are pretty good they won the NFC East last year. They have a young and up in coming Qb, the best Rb in our division, they have really good De's, looking like a solid D. I wouldn't say there a pretender, I am not saying there better than the Skins, but they are for real.

First of all, Pierce over-achieved as a Redskin and he isn't worth the money the Giants paid him.
Second of all, now that Lavar signed with the Giants, he'll just over-pursue again and leave CP gapping holes to run right at.
I, for one, relish the thought of playing against those two.
I'm not scared one bit. Lavar will have his days, to be sure, but you'll see, he still won't play up to his potential as a Gnat.
As far as the NFC East goes, the Gnats have always been an after-thought to me. My first hatred goes to the Cowboys, then the Eagles. I've never given the Gnats much thought.
The only thing this signing does is raise my hatred for the Gnats a little, and makes me want the Redskins to stuff it up their collective butts even more!

I -was- a Lavar fan. It is OVER. Kissing his new defensive coordinator's butt? Give me a break!
He is the enemy. What I have to say to him can only be said in the SMACK forum and the Stadium.
Go to hell Lavar!
So now you can be all the Lawrence Taylor wannabe you want. You could -try- to wear 56 if they let you as far as I am concerned.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!
Justice, perhaps you would like to remember the 35-0 pasting from last year. That ought to help elevate the past year NFC East Champs in your hate book. And don't tell me about 35-20 in D.C., where an opening catch by Plax and a reasonable call ona Amani's TD meant a close game. In any case, wish you luck covering T.O. and stopping Osi, Michael, Lavar, and Pierce from getting to Brunell.
Seriously, do you think Brunell, at his age, is SB bound. He will not last half a season. Hope last year's rookie QB is ready for our guys.
Meanwhile, we will look to 24 year old Eli for this year and many years to come.
Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!
