how long should the batteries last ??? i've had my ipod since oct 18th (birthday) and the charge does seem to last as long as it did when i first started using it.is this normal,should i look to send it back ??? HELP ME OUT !!! :? :? :?

you want to send it back because it still works like new, when you first bought it :hmm:

If you use the backlight, your battery will last next to nothing (at least on mine its that way, the video).

I wish it had an option to choose how bright you want the backlight to be, instead of just how long. When it's dark, I really dont need a flashlight, just enough to let me see it.

If you use an FM Transmitter (so your iPod can play on the FM radio), the battery life will deplete very very fast. If you can, just buy a short cable and plug it into the receiver. The iPod battery will last much longer then.

The rule of thumb seems to be to charge the battery fully, then let it wear completely down, and recharge it fully. Do that three times, and by then the battery will have somehow "learned" the charge level, and the life per charge should be stable. Don't ask me why, I just have found it to be the case in all things with rechargeable batteries.
