Pac-Man at it again ????

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Titans | Police and courts: Drug bust in Tennessee
Sat, 15 Apr 2006 08:35:41 -0700

Jim Wyatt and Christian Bottorff, of the Tennessean report nine people were arrested on suspicion of having roles in two major drug rings that trafficked cocaine and marijuana in Sumner and Davidson counties in Tennessee. One man, from Nashville, has possible ties to Tennessee Titans CB Adam Jones, authorities said Friday, April 14. Officers seized 1,653 pounds of marijuana, 128 pounds of cocaine, more than 20 vehicles and $608,000, police said. Many of the questions at a news conference surrounded the possible connection to Jones. Davidson County District Attorney Torry Johnson said that Jones is an acquaintance of suspect Darryl Jerome Moore, an aspiring rap singer who was released early last year from federal prison in California. Jones' nickname was embroidered as "Pac Man" on the black leather seats of a 2004 Cadillac XLR, a pricey sports car that authorities confiscated from Moore's apartment. Jones' Nashville attorney, Roger May, said yesterday that the car does not belong to his client, and he said he does not know if Jones ever owned or drove the car. Jones' sports agent, Michael Huyghue, said yesterday that he had advised his client not to comment.

PACMAN TIED TO DRUG DEALER?

The Nashville Tennesseean reports that one of nine suspected drug dealers arrested recently in and around Nashville has ties to Titans cornerback Pacman Jones.

Davidson County District Attorney Torry Johnson says that Jones is acquainted with Darryl Jerome Moore, an aspiring rap singer who previously has served time in California on drug charges. A 2004 Cadillac XLR confiscated from Moore's apartment had the words "Pac Man" embroidered on the seat. Police also seized a whopping 127 pounds of cocaine from the home of Moore's father.

"Clearly, there is some connection between Mr. Jones and one of the arrested individuals, Mr. Moore," Johnson said. "But I want to emphasize, he has not been charged. The investigation will continue, and we'll just have to see where it goes."

Predictably, Jones' agent and lawyer are defending their guy.

"All I know, with regard to the car, is that he doesn't have ownership of the car," said attorney Roger May. "I do not have any knowledge of the investigation at all. Anything else would be pure speculation."

"It says Cadillac on the car, too," said agent Michael Huyghue. "Maybe they should call the head of Cadillac." (Memo to Mike: You would be doing a better service to your client on this one if you'd keep your mouth shut.)

The Tennesseean tried to reach Jones. On their first attempt to call his cell phone, the reporter was told that Jones was unavailable, and that the reporter should call back later. On the second try, the reporter was told that it was the wrong number.

Stay tuned on this one. Jones has had several brushes with the law over the past year, but has been exonerated of all charges. Our guess is that the prosecutors will explore carefully his connection, if any, to Moore -- and that if there's any way they think they can make something stick, they'll definitely try.

You could tell that guy was trouble, I mean the first time I saw him on NFL Network and he said his name was PacMan, not Adam, you could tell he was going to be trouble.

And to think, I used to want him over Carlos...

There absolutly no question that Carlos is more of a Gibbs guy -- by far -- than Pacman and that's so important to Gibbs.

What amazes me is that Sean is a Gibbs guy...he doesn't seem to fit the mold.

Didn't want to start a new thread but .... He's still at it

PACMAN CAR BOUGHT BY . . . PACMAN

Bidding has ended on the auction for the Cadillac XLR with "Pacman" stitched in the seats. The car was seized as part of a drug bust earlier this year.

The winning bidder? Pacman Jones.

Jones got the $77,500 vehicle for $48,500, outlasting several other bidders after jumping into the process late.

The strangest part of the story is that Jones apparently never owned the car, despite news reports at the time of the arrest and seizure suggested that Jones had a connection to the car, even though it was registered to a person in Nevada.

Jones arguably had his breakout game on Sunday against the Giants, snagging two interceptions as part of a stirring 24-21 comeback win, in which the Titans scored all 24 of their points in the fourth quarter.

A candy apple red 2004 Cadillac XLR Roadster Convertible with his name embroidered on the steering column and headrest (as much like a candy apple red Batmobile) that he said he (and proved) he didn't own got him in the BACK spotlight for all the wrong reason in his rookie year. Why would he turn around and buy it?

The guy bidding for Pacman entered 13 bids in the auction’s final 10 minutes and Pacman registered for the auction as Standupguy. Should he keep it?

Sounds like this guy is cruisin for a bruisin  I mean who is advising these guys - it would seem that he could afford any car that he wants, why flaunt this? This guy is looking for a place to happen, IMHO.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
