This guy gave up 4 million to help out the Skins and still you bash him. What did he do to the organization that was so bad nothing. He played his best and gave his all sure he was a freelancer at times but that never meant he didnt give his heart and soul to the team. Whatever dude!REDEEMEDSKIN wrote:HEROHAMO wrote:He is probably the best free agent period. I would love for him to come back to the Skins If it were up to me I would give him what he deserves.
...and that's EXACTLY how these other teams feel. He DOESN'T deserve what he is asking, based on his last two injury-plagued years.
These teams are TRYING to "give him what he deserves," but his agents think it is too little.
Sean Taylor starting free safety Heavens team!

He gave up $4M to become a free agent, it helped the team but that's not why he did it. I haven't bashed Lavar and I won't but let's be honest. Lavar felt the Redskins didn't want him anymore and he wants a chace to play and get paid.
He had a $6.5M roster bonus coming in July, everyone and there mother knew he'd get cut sometime after June 1 & before the payout date. By that time the most of the free agent dollars are gone, and he didn't want to wait that long to hit the market.
He accused the FO of cheating him out of $6.5M, He went to the media saying Bubba and the trainers "rushed" him back. He even said JG never told him why he wasn't playing. I could go on about coaches past and present but I think I've pointed out enough to show that say LA did nothing to the organization who be inaccurate at best.
Lavar freelanced and got caught out of postion, but I believe he was were he was supose to be more often than not. I complained about it when he was here, not really a issue anymore.
I'll aLways be a fan of Lavar's, I don't particuarly like the Jags but if he signed with them it would be a plus. The misses is a chessehead but she doesn't like the idea of LA in GB so I could get some mileage

He won't get a 7 year $54M contract unless he gets it from "the Danny" ... what's the odds

From PFT
He should have gotten rid of them years ago now they are almost stuck with each other.
There's talk in league circles that linebacker LaVar Arrington is putting some pressure on agents Carl and Kevin Poston based on their failure to get him a long-term contract on the free-agent market.
Arrington gave up $4.4 million in earned but unpaid bonus money with the Redskins in order to hit the market four months earlier than he otherwise would have. We assumed at the time that the Postons had a new deal in their back pockets that would have paid Arrington the $4.4 million, and a lot more, up front.
But days have become weeks and Arrington still is waiting for someone to offer the kind of money that his agents have been demanding.
The problem, as we see it, is that Arrington has unrealistic expectations -- and that the Postons have done nothing to rein him in. For example, they apparently didn't spend any time gauging the market for Arrington, possibly because they have pissed off so many teams over the years that no one is willing to give them insights as to what their guy can expect to get paid. With that information, the Postons could have gone back to Arrington and explained to him that what he wants and what he'll get are two different things.
Sure, there's a chance that Arrington would have reacted negatively, and possibly would have fired them. But if they're now on track to be fired anyway, the Postons could have spent their time trying to get their other high-profile, high-expectations clients (Charles Woodson and Ty Law) under contract.
Before they get new agents, too
He should have gotten rid of them years ago now they are almost stuck with each other.

why do some of you guys think we need him
this guy refuses to play with the system always caught out of position and cost us more than once with his personal foul late hit crap.
he has never lived up to the expections WE all had of him ...that he can not help.but he is gone and as i recall our defense has exactly suffered when he is not on the feild.

I hear what you are saying, but, for the sake of all of us here, please take a deep breath before you type and proofread what you write. I don't think what you posted is what you actually meant to say.
As for Lavar...
He needs to fire his agents NOW!!! I don't agree that he's worth as much as his agents believe, but they are certainly not increasing his value by allowing him to sit while they try to figure out who would give them the time of day.
Maybe they're good friends or what not, but Lavar needs to understand that he's in a business, and he needs the BEST representation to get him fair market value for his services.
I wonder how his wife feels about this. Arrington needs to get a deal done, for his entire family's sake. Though they are probably well off already, the undetermined destination must be trying on their marriage.
Back and better than ever!

Easy big boy.
I am certainly no Redeemedskin apologist, but I think what he is referring to is that you meant to say "our defense has NOT exactly suffered," when you in fact you said "our defense has exactly suffered."
Big difference in meaning. Probably not the best way to inform you of your omission, but I don't think he was trying to insult your intelligence. That wouldn't be very christian.

It has nothing to do with grammar, its just the omission of that modifier completely contradicts your entire post.
Not a big deal, people probably know what you meant. Again, RS could have presented it better, or not presented it at all. If you want to smack him for it, by all means, go for it, just not in Hog Wash.

But, he's also unemployed, and her momma probably didn't raise her to marry no jobless dude.

Seriously, though, with the new baby in the mix, it must be rough to not have an NFL place to call home. I'm assuming she will go live with Lavar in whatever city he's playing for, right?

She doesn't need a NFL place to call home, she is VERY well off and is not being uprooted because Lavar isn't a Redskin. She will continue to live in the same house she lives in now, it's hard to make plans to attend games right now but right now she is at home and that location changing isn't in the plans

Three of 13 player updates in past 24 hours:
Donnie Edwards, LB — San Diego Chargers
April 14, 10:51 a.m.
GM A.J. Smith confirmed that he's looking to deal Edwards, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. Edwards is looking for a big-money contract extension that the Chargers don't want to give.
Fantasy Source spin: Edwards is one of the game's most consistent linebackers, and the Chargers should have the money to pay him. Maybe they're worried about his surgically repaired knee. Either way, we still view him as a top IDP choice.

This would be a great addition. I just do not think we have enough to offer in a trade situation.

I dont want Donnie Edwards because I dont think he's worth the $ he's asking. This system makes stars out of scrubs, we dont need to fill it with stars when we can make our own.
I dont think anyone is going to pikc up Lavar so we should bring him back for cheap.
Draft someone who is talented enough to play WLB.
Chris is a potential candidate.
Warrick Holdman is a potential candidate.
We dont need to spend the dough, plain and simple.

G. Williams is great and all, but even his 'system' needs athletes at some point. It's not like he could just throw any of us in there and field a quality defense!

And how much of that was due to Holdman ( 23 total tackles for the season)? That was less than half of what Lavar had (47), despite the fact LA played in one less game, and had considerably less time on the field.

Holdman is part of the defense, he was part of the team and contributed to that ranking. If he was as bad as some of you make him out to be theres no way we would have been ranked that high. Jeez, nobody is calling him the best LB in the world but the way some people are acting you'd think that the world is coming to an end.
Monday: Redskins still looking at LB
Tue: Skins resign Holdman to enter competition for WLB position...

Yep, let's get Manny and Hoyte and Williams. Heck, why don't we just call them the Washington Wolfpack, too? (just kidding)
