And I wonder why?
The Hartford Courant cites an 'internet source'
CNNSI runs that blurb from the Courant WITHOUT EVEN INCLUDING THAT IT WAS JUST AN INTERNET SOURCE. I mean how does that fly? Someone cites an anonymous source and then a major media outlet cites the one with an anonynous source AS the source. How convenient is that?
And the Post? Well of course they just cited a 'source'... that's all they ever do... though La Canfora is not usually the guilty one I must admit.
So you posted three articles with a total of ZERO legitimate sources... well ZERO cited sources... that's not a slight on you at all as I'm sure you were just posting some appropriate links... but it is a fairly common occurrence and proof positive that 'reading it in the press' is assuredly NOT a statement of proof of ANY type.
It may very well turn out to be true, but if you throw enough crap against the wall...eventually some of it will stick won't it?
When I read his post, I thought that was actually the point he was making: that some internet source ended up in a chain reaction of a bunch of other "legitimate" media sources running with the story.

I wasn't "turning on our own". I just posed the question for further discussion.
Sorry, i wasn't accusing you personally, just fans in general, not just fans on this board. I know fellow fans who don't visit or post here, friends of mine, that jumped on the bandwagon as well. Love him for years and then once he's dealt couldn't care less about him and what he did here.
Sorry for ranting but while Lavar definitley could have handled his situation better I think both sides are at fault for letting the situation get to where it is today.
It blows my mind that fans who once loved this guy could just trun around and dump on him now.
You could fill the cup with crap and then use your flexi-straw as a crap cannon.
Imagine how much crap you could get to stick that way? You could probably fill Texas Stadium (although, on game days, it's already filled with crap).

Man you went a long way to get to that punchline but I still like it. And while I have been accused of being full of crap, it's not now, nor will it ever be, literal.
Yeah, sometimes the set-up is necessary to transition to the end, although just saying Texas Stadium is full of crap is pretty funny.

Giants | Team stepping back from Arrington? Sun, 9 Apr 2006 09:10:24 -0700
Chris Harry, of the Orlando Sentinel, reports the New York Giants reportedly took a step back from free agent LB LaVar Arrington (Redskins) last week. They reportedly took a step back when agent Carl Poston threw out numbers in the seven-year, $54 million range, with a signing-bonus demand of $14 million.
I don't know what Poston is drinking/smoking
LaVar had it sooo good here ... if he had only gotten in step with the program ...

That is the equivalent of Angelina Jolie (in a moment of delusion) offering to have sex with me, then me rejecting her and then counter-offering with "I will sleep with you and Charlize Theron and I get to tape it and keep the proceeds or no deal."

Is it true that the amendment was approved but everything hit a bit of a snag on the 14 million guaranteed with Charlize in the deal?
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)
