In Week 1, Washington has been selected to host the first Monday Night Football game of the season, on Sept. 11 against the Minnesota Vikings, at 7 p.m. ET. The opener will be televised nationally on ESPN.
An early-season highlight will certainly be the Week 2, nationally televised matchup against the Dallas Cowboys on Sept. 17 at 8:15 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on NBC.
Last year in Week 2, the Redskins came from behind in stunning fashion to defeat the Cowboys 14-13, courtesy of two memorable Mark Brunell-to-Santana Moss touchdown passes.
Washington will face all four AFC opponents in the season's first seven games. The Redskins and the NFC East take on the AFC South this year: at Houston in Week 3, Jacksonville in Week 4, Tennessee in Week 6 and at Indianapolis in Week 7.
The Redskins' bye comes in Week 8.
The bye week would appear to come at a good time, as the November stretch of games look challenging.
A pair of key NFC East games follow: Washington takes on Dallas at FedExField in Week 9, then the Redskins travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles.
Next up, the Redskins play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Nov. 19. That game, at Raymond James Stadium, is a rematch of the Jan. 7, 2006, playoff game between the Redskins and Bucs, which Washington won 17-10.
The Redskins' stretch run will begin in Week 12 with three consecutive home games.
The Carolina Panthers, who earned a bid to the NFC Championship game last season, come to FedExField on Nov. 26, the Sunday after Thanksgiving. The Atlanta Falcons arrive at FedExField on Dec. 3 for a Week 14 matchup. The three-game home stretch concludes with a NFC East contest against the Philadelphia Eagles.
In mid-December, the Redskins travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints on Dec. 17. It will be Washington's first visit to New Orleans since the city was ravaged by Hurricane Katrina last year. It is expected that the game will be played at the Louisiana Superdome.
Washington closes out its regular-season road schedule with a game at St. Louis on Christmas Eve. That game is slated to start at 1 p.m. ET.
The Redskins' regular-season finale will be a nationally televised game against the New York Giants at FedExField. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET on Dec. 30. The game will be broadcast on the NFL Network.
The season finale could have playoff implications. Both the Redskins and Giants earned playoff berths last year.
It's possible that the Redskins will have more than three prime time, nationally televised games next season. For Weeks 10-15, the kickoff times are listed as 1 p.m. ET. If the NFL deems a Redskins game in those weeks to be a marquee matchup, then the kickoff will be moved to 8:15 p.m. ET on Sunday night. If that happens, then the game will be broadcast on NBC.

We end the season facing all NFC East teams at home... I love this schedule..., and the second half of our season is cake...(at least using last seasons as a guide) The only thing I don't love is that I probably wont see any games without having direct TV, or cable
Well what more would you expect out of the "Worst Team" in the "Best Division"
You are forgetting that now the Sunday night games are considered to be the Marquee night games, now that they are on NBC. So yes we have only 1 of those but they may flex us into that spot later in the season.
"This is a very simple defensive approach. They want you to attack, and be explosive. It's like this: straight ahead and attack." Andre Carter

From what I read regarding the new MNF contract, each team only gets one appearance, so it's not a slight of our 'skins.
Actually the packers have 2... which is odd because they were terrible last year.

Sun Dec 17 @ NO 1:00 Fox *
Sun Dec 24 @ StL 1:00 Fox

True, but the middle of the season (where we hit the skids last year) is going to require paying attention.
Sun Oct 22 @ Indy 4:15 Fox
Sun Oct 29 -OPEN-
Sun Nov 5 DALLAS 1:00 Fox
Sun Nov 12 @ Phil 1:00 Fox *
Sun Nov 19 @ TB 1:00 Fox *
Sun Nov 26 CARO 1:00 Fox *
At least there's a bye week in there.

don't worry about it, there is still a slight team with MNF, Philly and Green Bay always seem to have more games there... by now we all should be used to it.

thats the only tough part of the schedual... i think we will go 12-0 against nfc teams, id be ok with 2-2 against afc teams. i feel the playoffs comin!! so sick, the schedual coming out has got me more psyched up than anything else this off season!!! hail to the redskins!!!
