Redskins fans, get ready!
The Redskins' 2006 regular-season schedule--and the entire NFL schedule--will be released on Thursday, April 6, at 2 p.m. ET during a two-hour television special of NFL Network's "NFL Total Access."
Tune in to Redskins.com on Thursday for complete coverage as soon as the schedule is released.
The Redskins already know their first regular-season opponent in Week 1: Washington has been selected to host the first Monday Night Football game of the season, on Sept. 11 against the Minnesota Vikings. The kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET at FedExField.
The opener will be televised nationally on ESPN.
The "NFL Total Access Schedule Show," hosted by Rich Eisen and guest analyst Steve Mariucci, will release the regular-season schedule on a week-by-week basis, highlighting some of the new changes taking place this season.
Flexible scheduling, the addition of NBC and the NFL Network as broadcast networks and some of the compelling matchups will be discussed during the show.
The special will feature interviews with current players, including John Lynch of the Denver Broncos, coaches, including Herm Edwards of the Chiefs and Sean Payton of the Saints, plus broadcasters, including FOX's Troy Aikman, to gauge their reactions to the schedule as it comes out.
The two-hour special will re-air the same day at 7 p.m. ET.
The Redskins open the preseason at Cincinnati on Aug. 13 at 8 p.m. ET. That game will be televised nationally on NBC.
The remaining preseason opponents are the New York Jets (at FedExField, Aug. 17-21), at New England (Aug. 24-28) and Baltimore (at FedExField, Aug. 31-Sept. 2). The Redskins will finalize the preseason schedule later this spring.

I think it's an adventurous proposition.
I think it will work, but that's coming from someone who can't see the next time they'll actually be at a game. Changing a watch-on-TV schedule is exponentially easier than travel plans for those who do get to go.
Most, if not all, of the flex changes will be from Sun. afternoon to Sun. night. The biggest impact will be on those who have Monday morning work and school considerations.

It just occurred to me that this year, the Redskins will have no West Coast trips. The furthest they'll have to travel is to Dallas. That bodes well for us.
I like the bye week in the middle of the season, plus two weeks to prepare for Dallas.
That seven game stretch beginning with Indy ending with Philly will be tough. But I like that they have a couple of weaker teams early (Minn, Hous) and a couple late (NO, STL), with the toughest part in the middle.

I like our December Schedule- we all know what Joe Gibbs does in DECEMBER! 5 games, all very winnable.

"This is a very simple defensive approach. They want you to attack, and be explosive. It's like this: straight ahead and attack." Andre Carter
My early impression is we have the easier opening half to the season when compared to the giants and pukes.
giants play Indy Philly, Seattle and us for the first 4 and pukes have 3 of the first 4 away with a bye after 2 weeks!
I like the fact they also play 3 in a row away with 2 of the 3 being at carolina and at DC!!!

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

But we play Sunday and Saturday night games if that makes you feel better.
Kinda! but we have to share the first monday night game even. I thought we would get another monday night game. Oh well! 3 night games are still pretty good I guess.
