McNair was told by a team trainer that he would not be allowed to work out until his contract situation is resolved, according to James "Bus" Cook, who represents McNair.
"Steve was told that until he got his contract straightened out, he wasn't welcome at the facility," said Cook. "Heck, he's got his contract already straightened out and now he's trying to fulfill it by reporting for the offseason."
Steve McNair is one of the best players in Oilers/Titans history, a full out team player, a guy who gives nothing less than 100% every time he takes the field, and is a probowler, as well as being one tough SOB...
And the Titans want to jerk his chain like this?!
God, this makes me so mad. First the Houston Astros backstab Jeff Bagwell, now the Titans try to mess with McNair?
Yeah, I know, these atheletes are "overpaid" but they were GIVEN these contracts. You can't just decide you want to bend the rules, and take the money off the table.
McNair has been a star for the Titans/Oilers for years, he's been the ultimate pro and team player and now the Titans want to screw him over?
I've got something for the Titans...
