Wow! luckily we don't have to rely on the draft this year, maybe we'll find a diamond in the rough in those high rounds.

If you look at this essentially we have ALREADY drafted two guys in Campbell and Lloyd with these picks.

Sure they each cost more than one pick but essentially we traded a 3rd this year and a 4th next year for a 1st this year to get Lloyd and the 4th we gave up this year is just compensation for using this year's 1st rounder a year early on Campbell.

No big deal, we used these picks on young players, namely a QB we REALLY wanted and a PROVEN WR.

I would say that we've had a great draft already!!!

I agree - we already did pretty well. This should be called a lottery not a draft - you get to pick but there is no guarantee. I think we got a couple of guys that Gibbs thinks will be helpful to this team - that is good enough for me and we've still got some more tickets in the lotterY!
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

53rd pick, Has to be best available O-lineman or a linebacker.

I'd be really excited to see us get D'Qwell Jackson from Maryland here. He's superfast to the ball, plays the attcking style Williams likes and is a great tackler. Would be a great addition to our D if he lasts this long.

hkHog -- That's the right way to look at our draft. If Campbell turns out to be a good QB and Lloyd takes some pressure off Moss, it was a super draft. Getting Campbell one year early was a good thing too. A lot of people said we gave up too much for Campbell but I looked at a draft value chart and it showed that we didn't.

Wonder if we could trade 3 - 6th round picks and 2 - 7th round picks for a 3rd?

OR

We could trade our 5th rounder and get another 6th and 7th...we'd have 12 guys in NFL Europe next year!! We could draft 3 punters, one would have to be good!
