new name?

The Washington (with the utmost respect to Native Americans) Redskins.

By the way, I have a problem with the term Native American. I was born here my parrents, their parrents, and their parrents were all born here too. So doesn't that make me more of a Native American, than an Irish American? When you get right down to it, no ethnic group is "native" to North America the only difference is time and mode of transportation. So if your ancesters walked here instead of taking a boat does that make you Native American!

How about the Washington Relatively-Indigneous-Americans?

The only way I would allow a name change, is if it was changed to the 'Washington team who kicks the snot out of the Cowboys'

Since that will never happen, we will always be the Redskins, if I have to chain myself to the sign at Redskins Park.

hello, yes i am a Giants fan. I figured i'd get that out there right off the bat (plus my sig). And i am not here to troll. I wont say stupid stuff about the redskins if you don't say just stuff about the Giants. I just want to know if you guys think Arrington is a bad player. Because there is this guy on the Giants MB that says Giants don't want LA, he sucks, the skins never liked him, etc. I just want to know if you guys think he was good and if he would be a major help to a defense.

Once again, not here to troll or be a jerk.

Seriously, stop with the name change stuff. This isn't going to happen and by continuing the conversation you feed into the liberal media/academia hype....

Agian...This topic has NOTHING to do with the typical 'Redskin' name controversy that seems to get legs every couple of years. I just thought it might be a fun exercise.

I could have done the same thing for the Nationals, Caps, Wizards or any other team on the planent. (Except this is a Skins baord)

If you do not want to play that is fine. But stop with all the "The name will never change" hating. Jeezzzz.
You guys need to chill out.

I thought we were already cool about this.

I see your point...its cool...its a boring offseason..but, we aren't the Nationals, or the Caps, we are the Redskins and we get chastized for our name all the time by the 1% of the native american population whom it actually offends, and by 80% of academia who want to make a name for themselves. So, you'll have to excuse us if we are a little touchy about it.

I certainly don't think anyones hatin' you for it.

There's already a "D.C. United" Football club here in DC, so the two might clash.
