Not really. Not that he isn't a good player, but because we brought in Adam Archuleta. Now, if Sean Taylor is convicted, which we don't think he will be, then losing Clark may hurt a bit more.
He is what I would call a solid player. He doesn't blow a lot of plays and he will make some plays here and there. He's a ferocious hitter, but he's only like 185-190 lbs so he doesn't make the Sean Taylor or Polamalu type of plays.
I would think that you guys took a step down from Chris Hope, but he won't become a liability, unless it appears that it was more of Greg Williams' system that made him good.
You got a solid player, but he's definitely not a star or a difference maker.
SPIT HAPPENS!!

Ryan CLark was a good pick up for the Steelers wish we could have brought him back.
Real go getter not going to wait for something to be handed to him. That approach will cost him at times.
If you don't re-sign Ike who ever you bring in RC will have their back.

I think you guys got a heck of a saftey. The hardly ever misses time to injury, he'll give you 110% and you'll hardly hear from him. You guys definately got a heck of a safety and I hope he does well for you guys. Im sorry to see him go and I feel that he's one of the people we should have let loose.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!
I think you got a good football player and a better person. I have had the opportunity to meet Ryan he's a good guy with his priorities. I think he flourished here becuase of GW system. If he was going to a team to be "the man" I think he'd struggle. We all know who "the man" is in Pittsburgh...you have a great system in place there and Ryan will compliment it!
"Sean Taylor is hands down the best athlete I've ever coached it's not even close" Gregg Williams 2005 Mini-Camp
Put it this way, I'll actually a few Steelers game this year so I can see how Ryan is doing
But really, I think Clark will do well in your system because you guys are pretty aggressive (like us) and he'll still be playing oppositte a dominant Safety (Polamalu).

Ryan, regardless of the kind of person he is to meet or talk to, is a football player with heart. If given the right circumstances he'll prove that he's worth every penny you guys paid. I was sad to see him go. I've never met him and I'm not an expert like some of the guys around here. I just know that he cared about this team and he showed it in how he played, he'll do the same for the Steelers I have no doubt.
