Owens agrees to three-year deal with Dallas

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Cowboys | Report - Owens agrees to three-year deal with Dallas
Thu, 16 Mar 2006 20:55:47 -0800

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, free agent WR Terrell Owens' (Eagles) agent, Drew Rosenhaus, has denied a report from KLBK-13 CBS TV in Lubbock, Texas, that Owens has agreed to a deal with the Dallas Cowboys. While Rosenhaus is denying the report, a source close to Owens has confirmed to FOXSports.com that Owens has agreed to a three-year deal and it will not be announced until the coming days.

PFT is calling this report bogus... If anyone is familar with what is bogus, I'd say ProFootballTalk would be the one.

However reports are coming out that this has happen

Even the best site on the web has a article about it. Unfortunately I don't see T.O. being the same problem for that team in Texas as he had been for the Iggles. I also don't see him being as productive

This is bad news, in my opinion. I guess I'm the only Skins fan that thinks he will clean up his act, play hard and help the team. But, even if I'm right I still think we have a way better team then Dallas, so I'm not too worried. I hope Taylor makes the "Jacked Up" highlights next season at the expense of T.O.

There are other no. 1 receivers I fear more than Owens (Harrison, S. Smith, Holt, etc.). We'll deal with it. Remember, Bledsoe still has to get it to him first.....

Besides, take it from Forrest, stupid is as stupid does. Owens is what he is. Being inactive for half a season won't change who he is in the long term. He may play nice for a year or maybe two, but after that, he'll eat the 'boys from eth inside out just like he did to the Eagles.

A year or two is all we need.

From what I hear, he's been told "Behave or we cut you".

I'll deal.

He's still a dirtbag though, but now he's OUR dirtbag :?

When's the last time T.O. Had a big game against us?

4 yeard ago in 2002. With Gregg Williams' D, we handled him both games in 2004. We didn't even have to play him in 2005.

Big deal. I'm sure he was told that before he signed with Philly, too.

He's going to do something stupid. I know it, you know it, we all know it.

I tend to think Bill Parcells and Jerry Jones have a little more credibility (not to mention a little more sack) than Andy Reid and Jeff Lurie.

Neither of them BS when it comes to teamwork and money, respectively.

If he's a problem, he's out.

If he produces, JJ won't be cheap like Lurie.

TO will get paid.

Silly Redskin fans, don't you watch film?

Sure, he broke his leg that one time but he's had no problem lighting him up before that and in that one game in Dallas last year.

G'day Primetime - and all the best with T O

I think that most would agree that this is a lot of talent and he can help any team but we all still wonder if the end result is worth it. I question if you have the other pieces that everyone will work together. Owens can get it done but all the other guys have to all work too in order for it to be good for the team.
We saw the effect this guy can have on a very good team in Philly - this is not just about Owens it's also very important that the rest of the guys on the field feel like they are all a part of the game plan as well. Owens has not seemed like he cares about that part of the game. As a result he's just an awsome talent and does not make the team any better because nobody can play with him.

He just has not helped anyone as much as he has hurt the teams he's played with. This is a gamble.

I would agree that Parcells will not tolerate anything less than an all out effort but even with that from Owens what if he is giving full effort to be the best he can be, will we also see him giving everything he can to ensure the other receivers on the team are getting some of the glory too? I think you know the answer!

I am so glad that we have a coach like Gibbs who will not let a potential diverting influence be a part of the Redskins - not for very long anyway. Our coach runs our team with a lot of support from those around him. I doubt that Parcells wanted Owens as much as Jones.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I say it will be about six games into the season when TO will be TO and call Parcell's fat or make fun of his man boobs or something. I can't wait to here what he has to say about him!

I actually think TO will be on good behavior this year. Remember his first year in Philly? Plus, we need to see his "A" game. That way when we sweep the pukes again they will not have any excuses.

Everyone forgets that they were already a decent kicker away from winning 4 more games.

That's also half a season without a quality tackle on either side, and minus the #1 RB.

I know you guys have wishful thinking, but the Cowboys are not a bad football team. They're not mediocre either.

They are a good football team and only improving.

The only way Parcells would let JJ grab TO is if he thought a WR of his caliber was the piece that could take them to the next level. He also wouldn't take the chance if he thought he couldn't handle him.

The more I think about it, the more I think JJ should just pay him and get it over with.

Maybe then he'll shut up. We already know he can play.

I can only hope. The NFC East is gonna be even tougher this year.

This thread should be dedicated to PrimeTime42.

I say TO is the best friend of the Redskins. After all, who has caused more damage to our division rivals?

Where is your CROW image CLL? PT42 needs to have some right about NOW. It is going to be a pleasure to recall ALL of the nice hings he had to say about TO and his potential invlvement with the Pukes. I love it.

Who says that a dog is man's best friend? With all due respect to the canine species, TO is our BEST frind.

I'm not singing his praises to anything new pal. He's still a top 3 WR, but as I've said numerous times, that doesn't make him any less of a jackass.

He helps us win games, I'm happy because I root for laundry.

You have my word that I'm not going to laugh at any of you in regards to TO if/when he ends up scorching someone in your secondary.

You want to dedicate another thread to me? Be my guest, I'm sure 1niksder won't appreciate locking another because of you.

I guess I gotta go with PT42 on this one. Give TO a chance to make a fool of himself before you call him out on it Ric.
As far as somebodies secondary getting torch ROTFALMAO We all know who got burnt and where. Not saying history repeats itself but then again TO has no history like that against the Skins. Seems we all agree it's going to happen and is only a matter of time. What the repercussions will be is all that is unknown.

But if you guys highjack another thread I'll have no problem locking it, but that would make you both repeat offenders.
