Former 1st rounder, 7th pick overall, from the University of California. DE who moved to LB in the past year or so to fit within a new 3-4 scheme.

Drafted & Played with the 49ers. Has had 32 sacks in his 5 year career, including 13 in 2002.

Yes, he is very good, but something of a tweener. He is very strong, an excellent rusher with back problems...more effective as a DE than an LB but also a very good Lb. As a DE should be a consistent sack threat and decent run stuffer.
Ten sacks not out of the question. As LB, he will help us less (my opinion) but should be a superior LB who will get close to Arrington numbers. Arrington faster and formerly more spectacular but not as solid. Carter is not as flexible but harder to cut back on, ironically. My chief concern about Carter is his back.

I think he and Daniels will start at DE with Clemmons at LB.
I hope that happens and works out. I also hope the Daniels of the last half of last season is the real Daniels. If so, and Taylor's free, we should have fine pressure on QB's.

Achuleta, Carter, Clemmons, Griffin, Daniels, Springs all have superior rushing skills and only Salvaea on the entire defense seems to lack the capacity to get three-four sacks or more.

All i can say is in Madden 06, Andre Carter as a LB has a rating of 83. And at DE his ratings a 93. So based on Madden ratings i say he's pretty dang good
Nothing's more exciting than a life of a Redskin fan. haha yuuup.

Both Joe Gibbs and Gregg Williams seem to think so. That's good enough for me.

Well allright then sounds good to me. Should help ease the pain of the Arrington loss.
