Good news and Bad news

You guys got Brandon Lloyd for a 3rd and a 4th rounder. Seemed a bit much on the surface so I checked back the last 12 years to see how you guys did with 3rd and 4th rounders.
Here were the only keepers in 12 years--Cooley, Dockery, S. Barber, and Stephen Davis. Assuming Cooley works out over a few years--not just one--and you stumbled across Stephen Davis for some reason, you still got not much worth from 12 years of picks. So, trade em and hope.

Wow glad to see someone is up on their math, this will be Cooley's 3rd productive season.

Man! you really have alot of time on your hands to go look up our past 12 years of draft picks. But I do somwhat agree with you, the Loyd trade was more then fair for us in my eyes.

Cooley is one of my favorite draft picks we've made in a long time. Of course, it's hard to have a favorite draft pick when we go into the draft with only three in our hand.

If anything, YOU should be the one hoping Lloyd is a bust (doubtful), since he will be torching your beloved team twice a year.

Personally I think getting a WR who can start for you right away is definetly worth a 3rd and 4th round pick

This is a statistically insignificant measurement of the Skin's ability to identify and draft talent in the 3rd and 4th rounds, especially since Gibbs was retired for the vast majority of those 12 years. Nevertheless, I like the trade.

I agree totally! I mean we wasted a 1st on 50/50 for gods sake. So getting someone you know can at least be productive is worth it IMO.

exactly the point i was going to make until i saw you had already made it. :D

aside from many players that made solid contributions to the redskins, gibbs also drafted russ grimm and charles mann in the 3rd round.
