Slowly but surely. Gotten a few pleas. Beaten a few DUIs (because the cops did a crappy job). Not getting enough business to pay all of the bills just yet; however, the Yellow Pages are coming out in April and I have a full page ad....which is extremely expensive, I might say.
Anyone out there wanna venture a guess as to how much a full page ad in the Yellow Pages costs?
Oh, and to respond to BossHog's comment. I am certainly not the type to turn away any business, except for Sex Offenders. When I opened shop, that is the one class of offenders that I decided . . . long ago . . . not to represent. My reasons for that are personal and I won't get into them now; however, I am running my own office and I can set my own rules. That is just one of them.

The answer = $2,650/month.
Ok I don't have a law degree but I got lost somewhere in this discussion. Here the phone book is published once a year. You had a full page, yellow page ad in the book it would be there until they published another. Are you saying you are paying monthly for something that is published once or are you saying that DE publishes a phone book every month?
Whenever I start to get blue, I just breathe!
My favortie line from the Simpsons:
Flanders: "Looks like someone is having a pre-rapture party!"
Homer: "No Flanders, it's a meeting of gay witches for abortion , you wouldn't be interested!"

I am saying that once I agree to place an ad in the phone book, I'm on the hook for a full year at $2,650/month. The book only comes out once a year.

your saying you are going to spend 31800 on a piece of paper??????
no way in hell........
I hear ya. I spoke with a lot of attorneys before committing to doing this. All of them...and I said ALL OF THEM said that having a Yellow Pages advertisement is vital to the business. They all said that I would get a ton of calls and, considering the number of clients I would likely get as a result, it will pay for itself.
I'll test out the full-page ad in year one. If it's true, I'll keep it. If not, I'll go 1/2 page next year.

Wow. That's a hefty price to pay for a full year. Here's to your firm being the best, and letting word-of-mouth advertising beecome your cash cow. Best wishes,
