Who would you like to see the Skins make a run at?

-TE Zachary Hilton
Big TE (6'8'' 270) with good hands. Only 25, born in DC, will get stronger with age.

-LB Andre Carter
DE converted to outside linebacker. Could play OLB and sub as a pass rusher on certain downs.

-WR Antonio Bryant
He had some off the field problems, but he will cost less AND be just as good, if not better than David Givens. He's also younger.

-K Todd Peterson
Good solid kicker, cheaper than Hall, and a good bet to be better. Also born in DC.

-CB Ahmed Plummer
Good backup DB.

-P Jason Baker
Good solid veteran punter.

-QB Todd Collins
Collins played for Saunders in KC. Nice veteran 3rd stringer who could offer Campbell some guidance.

Now, nothing too flashy here (though John Abraham might be nice) but I think being responsible with the cash is becoming our strength.

I think we can be a playoff contender with a strong offseason.

Good list, but add one more: Julian Peterson. He's a DC native and a good replacement for LaVar. A coverage guy, but is very tall for his position and athletic. I would add Adam Vinateri. Hell 2 mil is a bargain if your the best clutch player.

Scouts Inc. puts Givens and Bryant in the same class and only 3 points apart in their scouting grades. (Issac Bruce is also rated a 71, good starter rating, just like Bryant).

I stand by it, Bryant is about as good as Givens, and will cost a heck of a lot less.

He's going to get big money. If we were going to pay big bucks to a weakside LB, we would have kept LaVar.

no, to me randel el would be another sanatana moss on this team. i think the skins need a guy, like givens, who isnt afraid to go over the middle and seems to find the endzone when the team is inside the 20. just my opinion.

I think Rocky Bernard would really bolster our interior line and I doubt he would be too expensive.

I think that Randle El is like a watered down version of Moss.

Not nearly as talented as a reciever, but with the ability to make some other things happen as a "slash" player.

He's good, maybe even good enough to compliment a team with a big wideout as a number 2, but for us I don't think he would be much, if any, help.

Randle El wouldn't even crack my top 10 list of free agent recievers, we need a big target to go over the middle, and still have some speed to make plays. Givens, Bryant, Burelson, Bruce, Llyod and maybe others fit the bill as someone who could help us. I don't think Randle El does.

To be honest, all we NEED at WR is an attention grabber. We dont need a star but someone who will deserve constant attention from Moss. We need somebody that when Moss is double/tripled that he can be a sure thing.

Moss + Bryant with Patten in the slot is a formidable WR corps.

So who are you going to pay attention to? Moss can't be ignored. Portis can't be ignored. ey can't be ignored. So that leaves our #2 guy and slot WR. If we can get production out of these guys we'll be flying high.

You really need 3 quality interior lineman to rotate. Joe can play more running situations and Rocky in passing.

Yes, exactly. Thats one area that really pisses me off after a loss, or even a win. The way our offense was in 2004 and partially in 2005 was a detriment to the defense. You simply cannot keep the defense on the field all game and expect them to hold a team to under 21 points.

I simply can't image how great this defense will be because they'll be so rested. The energy boast they'll receive from our offense being competent will help as well. They'll no longer have to be the saviours of the team but the defenders as they should be. They wont have to keep us in the game but keep the other team out of the game. With their improvements we'll be able to take hte game from people also and further the lead!

What about Willie McGinest? He's the type of LB that Williams could really use effectively. As far as receivers go, I would love to sign Lloyd. That cat is FAST and he would be a perfect #2 receiver!

Nope I dont want Willie. Why hold back a potential young player on this team? Why delay that progress by a year? We need to seriously stop ignoring our guys.

Maybe the coaches will feel that nobody here is worthy, though I seriously doubt it and they'll bring someone in. Thankfully we have real coaches unlike in years before who are a good judge of talent.

Willie will be way too much money, he was scheduled to make 7 mill if the pats kept him this year. Im sure he doesnt want to take a big pay cut. B. lloyd has the biggest upside I think as a young receiver who can make huge plays, not sure if hes consistent enough though.

Marc Boerigter was intriguing for the Chiefs a couple of years ago. He's a tall WR with good hands. I remember him catching a couple of red zone TDs as well as some long catch-and-run TDs downfield. He had less than 20 catches, but scored about 6 TDs. He was hurt last year, but this guy would probably come cheap, has good hands, and has the size to complement Santana and to go over the middle. Not to mention that Coach Saunders is familiar with him already....

This is the type of player who's brought into camp for depth/competition purposes and ends up winning a roster spot.

Boerigter was a slot guy on a run heavy offense. He didn't get so many catches because he was the fourth receiver behind Morton, Kennison, and Hall. He was also fifth in receptions behind those three and Gonzalez, barely edging out Priest Holmes. I'm thinking he benefited from the multitude of weapons the Chiefs had.

He did get a high percentage of TDs/catch, but that's no reason to put Sellers out wide either.

i think everyone should take a look at will witherspoon from the panthers, he is a hell of a lb and an athletic lb as well who would probably be cheaper than most others, would probably be a good fit, he worked out well for the panthers.
