While I never felt that Puckett should've gone into Cooperstown before Mattingly, it breaks my heart to read this.
Really. I hope it works out for him...he was too charismatic to be a veg...and I'm pretty sure his family is still young.
Just awful.

I couldn't agree with you more, his career was way shorter too but he went in first ballot also becasue of his health pushed him out of baseball. I hope he make it and gets better.

A sad day for the sports world. He was truly a class act! RIP Kirby! :cry:
