I would bet on the 49ers. Cap space, open spot at WLB, and play for Mike Nolan a defensive coach.
In memorium Sean Taylor 1983-2007 R.I.P.

I;m sad to see Levar go. I loved watching him play and I think we did mistreat the guy. I think wherever he ends up he'll be very motivated to play hard and play well. Unless he ends up in a Dallas uniform, I wont stop wearing my LA 56.

The Giants is the logical place for Levar if he indeed wants to be in the NFC East, unless there is not CBA extention. From what I've been reading (NFL.com & CBS Sports), the Giants have enough cap space to land, maybe one name free agent with a 94.5 cap. If the CBS is extended, who knows.

Levar's always been an odd one though. He might not go to a team just for money. Remember how long it took him to allow his jersey to be released? He also didn't have his name or likeness on the Madden games until this year as well. LB #56 was all it gave. I forget what it is a player has to sign to allow these things, but he was once reported in the Washington Post as the only player in the NFL who wouldn't sign it. I don't know if that's true though.

you Redskin fans crack me up - now Lavar is overated and your glad he is gone? You guys change your tune to reflect whatever boneheaded move that Snyder and company make - grow some balls people and get off Gibbs jock - Lavar will end up in Dallas or New York - San Diego doesnt need any linebackers plus he knows the Skins tendancies which can prove highly valuable in big D or New York

You sir are incorrect with your statement. Gibbs and Snyder attempted to retain Arrington but he WANTED to leave.
Lets look at some more facts.

Peirce - was not worth the money he wanted.
we saved that money and got = the performance and had a better year
Smoot - was a joke and not worth any of the money he got paid. did you watch him get lit up in Minny? I figured you didn't.
50/50 - was supposed to have a revival downsouth and is now up north after staying a failure.
Lavar - was overpayed plain and simple. he hadnt played in 2 years and was making top dollar. im sorry but one big hit every 7 years doesn't cut it. He was a heck of a guy but he WANTED to leave. He did us a favor adn I for one thank him for it.

Bah, Levar wanted to stay until we made it clear that we weren't happy with him. He had a bad knee and he played. His knee was healing and we played him less. His knee was almost healed and he played one down. It's amazing he didn't end up on the IR once he was 100%. He didn't play this year because we didn't let him and I still think it's unfathomable to let that talent lay in waste. Then, when he gets on the field and he's showing signs of rust, people start jumping on him. Backwards logic amazes me.

Now that he's gone and Ramsey's on the block, hopefully this will be the last we hear of unhappy players, save Sean Taylor. You never know what's going to happen next with that boy.

The people that are trashing LaVar have been doing so for a while now. It is nothing new around here.
As far as knowing the Skins tendancies on D, I think that was part of the reason he was not playing all the time.

Lavar was in tears after our loss to Seattle and said that he'd be willing to do anything to stay with the team.

LaVar is an emotional guy, always saying things he doesn't really mean which gets him in trouble later and confuses the fans.
Gotta respect the 'Skins

yeah, he wasn't the only player, though. He said when he was a star in college his father told him to never sell out his name, and he took it a bit too literally.

I know this may be off the wall but what if he paid the team 4 mil in an effort to restucure is contract in a manner that fits whatever new CBA (or lack there of) has in it. This way we can start fresh with a new contract for him and our money magicians can do something wonderful... At least I hope thats the case. LaVar has been my favorite Redskin since he was signed and I would hate to see him leave or even worse to have to face him twice a year.
Well what more would you expect out of the "Worst Team" in the "Best Division"
