If they jack parking up to $35 and don't figure out a way to secure their parking lots, I'm going to be upset Too many cars were broken into last year, including friends of mine. It happened at every game.

I'm thinking that's the reason for the hike...lot's of problems in the parking lots last year..ask JF his Aunt got the window of her car bashed in.

Yep - same thing with my friends, theirs and 4 cars in the area got their windows bashed in and items stolen. Security and the police said it happens at every game. They said after every game they find holes in the wooden fence around the stadium lots and have brought it up to the team. They indicated they were going to replace it with something less easy to breach.

Perhaps this is the case

Not a rumor. My invoice went up $150 - $15 extra for parking each game.... Orange parking. I wonder if Green and Blue went up by the same amount?

I'll be thrilled if it's just parking that goes up. We take metro anyway.

Wow - in addition to parking going up, our ticket prices went up THIRTY DOLLARS PER SEAT!! That's a little out of control. They went from $79 to almost $110.

If thats the case then I don't think I can afford it no more. Dang.....over a thousand bucks per season ticket. I'll see what I can do, but I just might have to step down and let someone else step up. It was fun while it lasted though.

By Thomas Heath
Washington Post Staff Writer
Tuesday, March 7, 2006; E06

The Washington Redskins will raise the price of lower-bowl general-admission seats 39 percent next season, and will increase the cost of parking in the 20,000 parking spaces at FedEx Field from $25 to $35, up 40 percent.

Redskins chief operating officer Mitch Gershman said yesterday that this is the team's first general-admission ticket price increase in four years and puts the franchise more in line with the other teams in the area.

"We were looking at the competitive landscape and the overall demand for season tickets for the Redskins and we felt that moving them in line was the smart thing to do," Gershman said. "Our lower-bowl seats are still priced at the same or below what other teams are charging, and we still think we have the most outstanding value for sports entertainment in the region."

Doesn't say anything about the upper deck??

Yes...sux to be us.

Upper deck - I'm thinking our seats were either 1190.00 or 1290.00 last year but they went up to 1422.00 this year. There's a $128.00 PG County Admission and Amusement tax taxed on there too.

Don't let them fool you. To make it look like it was because of taxes, they just took the tax out of the total they were charging. You were already paying that tax in previous year's, it was just listed as part of the face value amount.

Fornicating Male Bovine Fecal Matter

Post by wormer »

Every year I get my bill. Every year it amazes me.

Nearly 6 MONTHS from the start of the season and we are required to pony up the cash.

I'm out over 3 grand and don't get my product for nearly 1/2 a year. I mean, I could drop that at Best Buy this afternoon and walk out with a flat screen 2 minutes later.

Truely Fornicating Male Bovine Fecal Matter...truely.
