Let me ask a question; If Ricky lives in a country where pot is legal, like Holland in the offseason. Smokes it up like champ but comes to the first camp off the pot and remains off of it during the season, is that illegal? I assume so but it shouldn't be. I also assume they test you all year long?

Why wouldnt it be? He wasn't breaking the law. As long as it was out of his system before he came to camp who cares?

Ricky is already in the program, so he is tested during the off-season. 10 times a month during the season - not sure how often in the off-season. He is in India now so it can't be as often as it was during the season.
Had he not been in the program it might be different. As long as he tested clean whenever he test then no one would know.

Why did the news that RB Ricky Williams reportedly had failed a drug test emanate from Denver? We hear it's because the Broncos had requested information on Williams' status in the NFL's substance-abuse program from the league as a prelude to a trade with the Dolphins. Word is Williams' appeal will be upheld because the substance he tested positive for was an herb, not a drug. However, the Dolphins are ticked off because the suspension scare likely lowers Williams' trade value.
