should we go after cb Nate clements ?

Post by 36HAMMER »

This has probably been talked about before but i was not here for that , soo we are going to do it again. springs is excellant but old and may have 2 to 3 years left. w harris is probably on the way out and rogers is our future.therefore i say picking up n clements from the bills is a move we need to do.it may all be moot if the bills put the franchise tag on him but if they don't then the skins would be remiss in my book for not going after him. the added bonus is the he is very familiar with williams.what do you guys think?

No.

Too much money.

We need another CB, but not a high profile guy, just a solid Nickel Corner.

Absolutely NOT

Clement will cost way too much money, and is a starting corner. We have one bonified starter who is better than Clement (Springs) and have invested a first round pick in our other starter (Rogers). All we need is a solid nickel back so we can push Harris back to dime coverages. We need to save our money for something else.

Going after Clements would smack of times gone by. Times when the Redskins would identify a need, and Dan Snyder would go out and sign the most expensive avalable name that he's ever heard of. We don't need a megabucks starting corner. We need to trust in Rogers, and make sure we have suitable depth in case Springs' old legs fall apart. There are plenty of people out there that will do that job for us, without costing the earth.

Depth, depth, depth and more depth - that's what we need.

clements isn't going to go anywhere if he is not the starter. springs got over 10 million to sign, and that was two years ago. clements will ask for around 12 million for a oinus. get him, and forget about a wideout, or any other player for that matter.

Well, I certainly don't want us signing anybody who wants to be paid with an oinus.

y go after a star corner when we absolutely need a star reciever? it really duznt make much sense. oh and our group of corners werent that bad, maybe another proven corner to add depth would be nice.
Nothing's more exciting than a life of a Redskin fan. haha yuuup.
