I think when Every sports writer in amercia says the skins should have bought atleast a .500 season...let alone a playoff apperaence...its something.

I know that you "drink the Kool-aid" but even you can't spin the fact that with all that money they have shelled out to players and coaches...they should have finished better than 5-11.

Kevin's concerns are the concerns of every jets fan....we can't let another Offseason like last year happen.

Now yyou traded Bailey for portis because...Bailey wasn't worth the money...But portis way?

Look Smizz we'll never agree, so there's no point in discussing it, I have sung a similar tune to the one you sing about Snyder in the past, but I acknowledge one crucial, vital new factor that you never do... Joe Gibbs. All previous standards can be thrown out the window. I don't expect you to undrstand... but you will eventually see. I don't expect to make a believer out of a jets fan, nor do I intend to try. We'll see what happens with Danny's bucks when someone who knows what they are doing is behind the wheel.

It'd be much better to have our players whining about how slow and inefective our FO is... that way we could appease the media pundits. Maybe the Redskins can follow the Jets lead and sign some top notch CFL talent so people will see how hard we're trying to find cheap talent anywhere. :roll:

Your bet is assinine in my opinon... how do I know if 2 players will make it through the season... I wasn't aware that the Jets' guys came with injury guarantees.

I will make one bet with ya... I bet ya that this time next year.... regardless of the 2004 season... I still won't give a crap about the Jets... and you'll still be here all the time, telling me that the Redskins suck.

I don't think the skins suck...i think they are underachievers and a poorly run franchise....This new regime you have hasn't worked...and just because you bring back Joe Gibbs doesn't mean everything before his hire should be forgot.Hiring Gibbs doesnt change the fact taht for the pas 3 or 4 year the skins have gone out without any care of price or draft picks and have time and time again failed to improve the in the one catagory it counts...WINS.

Because now gibbs is controlling where the money goes everyone should forget the huge mess the skins were the last 3 years?

If you mean new regime to be Snyder then I don't disagree... we haven't won a super bowl... neither have you... and we all know that the way the jets didn't do it was WAY better than the way the Redskins didn't do it. :roll:

True, but it doesn't mean that their constant effort to do so, isn't a better approach than 'sitting on their hands and getting the last guy available." It does mean that the Redskins now not only have the backing of an albeit often over-zealous owner, but that they have a commander to guide them in the right direction, and hopefully use the money wisely (instead of having an apparently overhyped college coach that was completely out of his element and just holding a clipboard).

I think it unrealistic to think that every team will go out on day 1 of FA and get their guys.

So ill hold off till after we sign the "leftover" Fa's before i trash the FO.

Hey Smizzy, like I said... your inability to accept the difference that Gibbs makes taints every argument you make as far as a Redskins fan is concerned. it doesn't matter what has happened in the past... all the rules changed when joe came back to town. I said it before... we don't expect you to believe in it or undrstand it... but you will evetually see.

And as far as getting the players we want... so what? So it hasn't worked yet. At least it gives we the fans some hope and a reason to support the team, whether it is blindly or not. If being a Redskin fan means living with the fact that your team makes mistakes in their effort to be aggressive about improving their team... well... que sera, sera.

If my alternative is to wallow in self pity and misery on ANOTHER team's board and use conflict as my only means of communication... I'm happy with the straw that I drew.

What really sad is when rival fans come on your board and tell facts about the skins...boss you the 1st one to insult their team...

You tell me that saint gibbs is back and we should all forget how bad the skins have SUCKED since Synder took over,...i think its pathetic that the LEADER of this board want everyone to give the NFC east champioship to the skins because your HOF coach is back?

You can spin this how ever you want boss...but here is the truth..even though you won't like it.

Dan Synder is the laughing stock of the NFL....he has spent more money than anyohter team in the league in the last 4 years and wht do you have to show for it???A couple of FA?Big deal...you FO has failed so badly that there was only one thing they could do to right the ship...Go get gibbs.

Sure get gibbs out of retirement to coach you buch of misfits..and its great for BossHogg because he gets to say"saint gibbs is back" and everything else just fades away?...Your still the same franchise.

As far as coming here to talk football...i have a Jets baord on that ill bet money you guys wouldn't go to and try to have a decent football conversation because nobody outside of this Washington board respects the skins.....Im not coming here unwelcomed...its a Chat board for christ sakes... you guys hide here...so nobody messes with your perfect skins daydreams.

No one at Redskins park has enough brains to look at their own track record. Tried to buy a superbowl a few years ago. Did that work? I am guessing no. You bought a mess of high priced free agents last year and you won the super bowl right? Oh...wait you have the 5th pick in the draft. You must have traded for it right? Oh.. wait its because you only won 5 games. I know the jets only won 6 games but we also didn't strap our future cap to do it. The way teams win and make their superbowl appearances each year, do any of them do it the way you do....oh..wait, no.
