Bryant Johnson

Post by Michaelf382 »

Is he a RFA? we could maybe get ramsey for him in a straight up trade. Hes very good and could be a good #2 and cards are stacked ar WR

I'll say it again. Bryant Johnson and a 3rd round pick for Betts

I don't think the Cards would go for that

Oh really? a starting RB for them for their 3rd WR option and a 3rd round pick? Small price to pay for a RB of Betts caliber. The Cardinals need RB help and they get Betts before he hits the FA market.

How bout Betts/Ramsey for Boldin. Maybe add a pick in there or something. Imagine having Moss, Boldin, Patten, and Thrash in there at reciever. Super Bowl here we come! Do you remember how Boldin played against us last season? He's definitely a big target, almost looked like TO out there without the extra activities.

One, there's no way theyre going to give Boldin up. He made bigger plays at WR last season than many other guys. He's a physical specimen, like a TO without the immaturity.

Second, WHY WOULD WE GIVE UP BETTS? Unless there's another move we would make to get a very reliable back up to Portis, I don't understand that. Betts is a great Power change-up to the speed and agility of CPortis. If we pick up another reliable back then I could see that; Betts is worth more than Bryant Johnson in my opinion.

Well, first off the Cardinals wil have many options at RB through the draft and FA.

Bryant Johnson is all the speed that have at WR.

Why would they trade him for an RB who has never proven himself as a starting back when they can get a top tier one in the draft or FA?

The best scenario for the Redskins would be Johnson and a second day pick.

Just not a great idea more you think about it.

I don't either.

They have the 9th pick in the dratf (or somewhere near there) where they will probably draft a younger stud RB (LenDale or Williams) while still keeping Johnson and a 3rd pick.

IMO, that trade has 0% of going through.

Thanks for the support guys. YOu said it all... as much as we all like Betts, he's unproven as a starter and there is some primo talent out there at the position to be had.

It will probably be a cold day in Pheonix (snow actually) when the Cardinals give up Bolden. If the Redskins want to take a chance in the draft, Arizona has a WR named Derek Hagman (?sp). He is not projected high in the draft but has been a really good WR for AZ. A draftee is always a risk though.

There is no way we would give up Betts and there is no way that the Cards will give up Johnson, Fitzgerald, or Boldin.

The Skins probably won't give up Betts. I agree with you on that. But he won't resign with the team after next year, not if he has another solid year as CP's backup and someone gives him a starting job next year.

Bryant is not coming our way. Joe will not have him aheadof other more interesting options in FA and the draft.

This is a bad year to think about trading RBs.

There are good options in the draft (Bush, White, Williams, Maroney), and a lot of talent in the free agent market is possible. Like Edgerrin James and Shaun Alexander.
