My point is...its the 1st day of free agency...and the player being mentioned is in another city with his agent ...
He's not in SF.
so unlewss the skins were tampering...he couldnt have lookd over an offer and turned it down...
C'mon...now because this guy made up his "buddy" or was silly enough to believe this guy on another forum without doing any reasearch what so ever...So he then proceeds to say "AWW shucks he wants to much money for the skins anyway"
thats just silly.
Plus when have you known the skins to shy away from big contracts to vet players?

This is some guys opinion...someone on a message board...yeah im just gonna believe him.
Why do the skins need to be involved in every FA...everyday,no matter what...isn't it a little more possible..the skins didn't talk to him yet.
Because he is another city talking to another team you immediately think the skins must have passed on him...C'mon

Sorry Antoine - didn't realize you went on the boards and posted here...
As you are saying - this is a person's opinion and you have a right to yours AS HE HAS A RIGHT TO HIS. Stop it Smiz.

don't be silly jets fan...you know if we wanted winfield we would have certainly got him over your jets. i guess we're giving you guys a break this year, maybe we'll steal him from you guys in 05 if he has a good year

"People that think they know it all are especially annoying to those of us who do."
hmm
i was just talkin about that because alot of people on this board liked winfield and talked of him quite a bit.. it wasnt some big plot to push a "hes a horrible player redskins dont need him" just tellin ppl things i heard about what a player we were interested in was going.. and obviously cus i heard that he wasnt gonna be a skin

Smiz...I don't think the F.O. wanted Kearse as much as the fans wanted him (not me though.) I don't think (and this is all speculation) that they wanted to pay him a ton of money because of his injury problems. The Skins will get who the Skins want. They always do, it's just that in the past, most of their wants were bad ideas. That is until last year when we were willing to pay your players the $$ they deserved.

Please...
Did you ever think maybe he didn't want to play for Washington...like bailey?
Or is that impossible to fathom?
I think you're right Smizz, and it's silly to think every FA is looking to come to the Skins. But I think that there are advantages to being aggressive... like your players not saying stuff like this:
"I just hope that our front office doesn't sit on their hands and get the last guy available," C Kevin Mawae wrote this week on his Web site. "We've done that in the past and it just doesn't work."
From this articleon Winfield.
That's harsh from a respected Jet starter.
