Chris Cooley/Clint Didier comparisons

When

ey was coming out of college he was compared to Clint Didier a lot.

IMO he's gone way above and beyond him in the stats... what do you think?

Didier was one of my favorite players when I was a kid. Really enjoyed watching him play.

I really like Cool

ey a lot too. Definately one of my favorite current Skins.

However, comparing stats is a little misleading. Cool

ey was the number 2 target this season. Didier was probably 4th given he played with Clark, Monk, and Sanders for most of his career.

It will be interesting to see next year whether Cool

ey can hit the same number of catches. Certainly Saunders will try to add or develop a second WR to compliment Moss, and Gonzalez obviously caught a lot of balls in his offense.

I think

ey will prove to be better in the long run. I think he is more in the mold of the Jay Novacheck (God forgive me) or Dwight Clark type of player in our offense.

If Saunders continues to use him as an integral part of our passing game, then he will be better in the long run, but he needs to get his fumbling issue under control. He coughed it up a few times this year after getting some contact, and he will truly be a stud once he is consistently sure handed.

eys fumbles, most of them came when he had his back towards the defender, caught the ball, turned around and got plastered. He took some vicious hits to cause those fumbles which I can relate to.

Exactly, once he gets that consistency in his game...he will be about all you can ask for in a HB. We will be unstoppable if Saunders can implement Cool

ey as an HB, and get another stud to play TE.

If we have Cool

ey, and a stud TE in addition to an addition to the Wide Reciever corps, we will have a scary offense.

I remeber the one against the Eagles where he had both hands on the ball and his head down but got layed out and coughed it up. :lol:

It seems like a lot of his fumbles come from fighting for extra yardage.

I think its purely a lack of concentration at times, something that can be remedied.

Didier was 6'5'' 240...

I'm a geek for doing this, but I am proud of myself for finding this out...

No bios on the net I could find to tell me, so I e-bay'd Clint Didier card and they had a picture of it front and back, thus the vitals and stats!

ey drops a lot of passes. That is total BS. I know he droppe more than his rookie season, but he only dropped ONE his entire rookie year. Maybe we just got spoiled!
