Wherever he goes next year they need to make sure that all 3 of the Keys to TO's happiness are met, otherwise he will either withdraw or act out.
Maybe sitting out a year he will reallize that less is sometimes more...who knows.
Hogster, (not that you're pushing for his signing) how can you ever be sure that you've done right by a man whose financial and emotional needs change as his perception of his own performance ( and consequently, worth) increases ?
I can't see how any dollar amount will ever actually equal what TO believes TO is worth...particularly when you consider that he feels it's perfectly acceptable to point out (real or imagined) deficiencies in his own teammates to elevate his status, and to explain why TO is the only reason a team ever wins.
You'd have to leave the check blank for him...and who can do that anymore ?
There's absolutely no denying his talent. No way. But you can't believe a word out of his mouth. Everything he says is only the truth for a moment...and is subject to change without warning.
I want to throw this in, while I'm here. I think Joe is flexible with the whole "Gibbs Guy" thing. He can handle a Prima Donna or two so long as the "supporting cast" is rock solid, if the talent justifies it. Riggins, Manley...Joe has experience with guys who want more money, so long as the end justifies the means.
How much is too much for one guy ?
