¡¡¡¡Interesting Rumor!!!
I'm in San Diego and just heard on 690 sports station that there´s been a talk between the Chiefs and the Skins that will send Larry Johnson to the Redskins for Clinton Portis, P. Ramsey and this year's second rounder, I know we always hear this kind of rumors but I will sign it anytime.

That would be the MOST retarded trade not only in the history of the Redskins but the history of the ENTIRE NFL!
This is absolutely crazy. No les creas nada.

Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

Larry for Portis and Ramsey? Sure, I'd do that. Larry for Portis, Ramsey, and a pick? I'll pass. Besides why would the Skins trade Portis after the way he's stepped up this year. Sure, Johnson would clearly be a better fit for the style of offense we run but Portis has done too much to get traded. This wont happen.

I would LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE to have LJ here. LJ is the PERFECT back for this sytem.
Id never trade Portis for him though. I like Portis for more than his yardage.
We have yet to see Portis in the new offense. Also, Larry Johnson doesnt come anywhere near the level of Portis when it comes to blocking and Portis is younger.
Clinton Portis 2005-2006 Season tracker
352 carries 1516 yards 11 TDs
30 receptions 216 yards 0 TDs
1/2 17 yards 1 TD 118.8

Im scared it may happen. Part of me says it might, a bigger part says no. I say no to the trade happening but IF any trade was to happen it'd more then likely be lopsided like the Bailey/Portis trade.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!

We better not make this trade. That would in effect mean that we have given up Bailey, two second round picks, Portis and Ramsey all for ONE GUY.
Our net loss would be Two Pro-Bowl players, 2 first day picks and a capable QB for one Running Back?
I don't think in the long run this trade makes any sense whatsoveer. Maybe if Portis was like 30 years old, or something, but not in our situation.

One reason I could see Larry here is because he grew up around here and his dad coached here. I do not see this happening. We have portis locked up for 6 more years. Johnson is at the end of his contract ( 1 year left i believe) and he is gonna command big money. I love Johnson, being a psu fan, but portis is the heart and soul of this team and DOES ANYTHING ASKED OF HIM. TO an extent, there must be loyalty and i know Gibbs has that.

Makes no sense!!! I agree with everyone that LJ is a beast, but here are my reasons that it won't fly.
1. Herm's system is made for a guy like LJ.
2. Herm has Trent Green who is light years a head of Ramsey and or any QB he has had before. Ramsey would only be depth and Collins can provide that.
3. Why make a trade for "O" when they clearly need "D". Why not trade Holmes (if he clears a physical) for some quality D. Whoever backups LJ will do fine, as anyone can run behind that O-Line.
4. This is my final thought which a few people have already mentioned. Portis is made for our system last years or this years system under Saunders. He fits it just as good if not better that LJ.
I'll take CP's leadership, power, blocking, desire to play hurt and outside speed any day of the week!
Just my

"It’s limited me in some ways but has been beneficial in others. It’s like I have a couple of clubs on my hands. I just have to hit people with them."
