Redskins stuffing Cowboys
It's official that the Skins will be playing The Cowboys on Thanksgiving day next year. Were gonna stuff those turkeys for the entire country to see. I can see it allready, Cambell, Portis, Moss, Taylor, Marshall and Washington will be each getting a turkey leg from the 6 leged turkey.
DON'T SING IT! BRING IT!
Hmmm.. Dolphins @ Lions or Redskins @ Cowboys. Which one will get the higher rating?
I hope I get to keep my turkey down while watching the game, though. Don't want another Wuerffel-esque performance by Brunell.

I wish they still did the mutant turkey leg thing...now they have that ridiculous looking metal turkey trophy that looks like Chris Collinsworth that they give out.
Bring back the Mutant Turkey.

FYI this will be the first regular season game broadcast on the NFL Network, it will be broadcast locally in DC and Dallas as well, but if you dont live in either of those areas, and dont have the NFL Network, you wont see it.
Comcast currently doesnt carry the NFLHD network either, which they better correct before next season.

I advise all THN members to get Direct TV. Do whatever it takes. Convince your wife, girlfriend mom dad, or whatever to switch before August of next year. DirectTV is good service, its' comprable price wise to regular cable and there's nothing like being able to catch every game that comes on.
I cannot go back to regular TV now.....even though Skins come on local TV, it helps to be able to watch the other teams for yourself and not rely on the media to tell you who is playing well.

Isn't the Dallass Thanks Giving game always on Fox?
The latest deal Fox agreed to was for Sunday games only, same for CBS.
'ESPN is paying $1.1 billion annually over eight years to broadcast the Monday night games. NBC has a six-year, $3.6 billion deal for the Sunday night package. CBS and Fox are paying a total of $8 billion over six years for the rights to Sunday afternoon games. DirecTV agreed to pay $3.5 billion for a five-year extension that runs through 2010.'
The league essentially sectioned off the thursday and saturday games as their own package then placed those games on the NFL Network instead of selling them. The confirmation that the skins were in dallas on thanksgiving was from the press release about all of this.

This NFL Network Redskins-Cowboys game is on Thanksgiving NIGHT -- 8:00 p.m.
The Detroit game will still be at 12:30 (this year vs. an AFC team on CBS) and the league will find a new site for the 4:00 game on Fox. (Could be a team from either conference, as long as the road team is from the NFC)
So Turkey Day is now a tripleheader day.

No football on Thanksgiving Day unless you have satellite? Not sure if other cable companies carry the NFL Network. Are you saying that more than half of the country will not be able to watch football on Thanksgiving? I'm not saying that you are wrong, but I can't believe they would do that. There would be a lot of pissed off people. Football on Thanksgiving is tradition. I gotta believe that some one will fix this. Fortunately I have DirectTV but man... This will suck for so many.

Wow! so 3 games on Turkey day, first one on CBS second on FOX and the 3rd and most important game will be on NFL network. Quesion for you, Do you need the NFL ticket package if you have DirecTV to view the NFL network channel or do you need to just have regular direcTV?

You don't need the Ticket to get it. It's Channel 212 on DirecTV. You might need the SporTS Pack, though.

Well, that's just great. 1 AM kickoff on a Friday morning. Thanks NFL. There was a time when I'd listen to games at that time of day, but somehow age has made it impossible for me to do that now, and make it in to work the next day. Unless I find myself feeling unwell of course. It would be a shame to have to phone in sick.

Man! that sucks, the 5 hour time difference. I would also think the Skins will play 1 or 2 Monday night games aswell, and that means 2 a.m. start time for you.

Solution for everyone, get Direct TV, get the Sunday Ticket and get a tivo box, you will see all games no matter what and if your game starts in your area at 2:00 a.m. tivo it and don't listen or look at the news on the game until you watched the Skins win.
It is a little bit of money, but the skins are worth it to me.

I have normal comcast digital cable and i have NFL network as a normal channel, probably just part of our package, but i have one major random rant here.
Next year im going to college at WVU and am moving away from northern virginia and am starting to slightly freak out about possibly having to watch steelers games all year, does anyone know of any ways to cope with losing my redskins every sunday!
