Is he from London, or does he just have a house there? He went to college in the States and has been in the NFL for 24 years.

HA HA HA HA! Across the hall, in another office there is a guy who is a huge Raiders fan. I had to hear it forever about our loss to them. WELLLL He just came in my office all mad, talking about how he hates the Redskins because we stole their head coach and Daniel Snyder threw his money around. Blah blah blah! I couldn't do anything but laugh. I did tell him anyone is a step up from Norv but he's not getting Saunders.

No one in their right mind wants to coach for the Raiders.

British accent

Post by gspdark1 »

As an aside, if Saunders British does he have the cool accent and all?

Just hearing him call plays in that accent will be awesome enough. It's like M telling James Bond the parameters of his next mission. Bond being Mark Brunell, etc.

God this is a silly post, but I had to do it!

It is a done deal. Saunders has been hired as our O-Coordinator. Danny offered Saunders HC money. There is no salary cape on coaching staff thank goodness!!!!

What will now happen to Bugel and Breaux? I would imagine that Saunders may want to bring Mike Solari or Irv Eatman with him as O-line coaches.

I would guess that Campbell's learning curve would be sped up a little based on the tools that he has to offer and adding Saudnders.

What a MASTERFUL COUP this is.

If I wasn't encouraged before about the direction this thing is going in, I sure as hell am now.

Now all they need is a quarterback that can run Saunders' offense...

Brunell? Ramsey?

Ummmm...

Dunno 'bout that. :?

Still happy about this, though. Long-term, this looks like an excellent move.

Just read we lamped up on Al saunders as our Coordinator! this is freaking great news! As my man Jim Mora would say... Holy Crap! I am SOOO pumped for next season. What are your guys thoughts on the hiring? We now have pretty much 2 coordinators that are basically head coaches. I like it!

Yes I am thrilled about this signing, but his schemes were only 1/2 of the scene in KC. The players still need to execute the plays. And do I think they can, of course.

We basically got the offensive version of GW running the offense. We are officially going to kick ass next season! I love this team.

Now we just need to come up with a qb that can perform at a high enough level to make Suanders' offense effective. As good a coordinator as he is this doesn't necessarily solve our qb problems.

nope... lamped up. just like i typed it. I know.. sounds strange... your thinking what does a lamp have to do with obtaining somthing. And i have no idea, just the way it works. like "Word" meaning essentially "i agree". back on topic though... do you think redskins.com is just waiting for it to be official to post it???
