Champ's 100-yard INT return -- and NO touchdown

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Champ's 100-yard INT return -- and NO touchdown

Post by RedskinsFreak »

Did you see that?

He picks it off a yard deep in the end zone and takes off down the sideline. Looks like he's clear for a touchdown and starts to let off the gas.

But Ben Watson has other ideas. Like Don Beebe going after Leon Lett, he catches up and blasts Bailey OB at the New England 1.

To me, he lost the ball before he hit the ground but not even a video review would give the Pats a fumble.

I can't see how. The only thing I can see is that they couldn't tell whether the loose ball went OB in front of or behind the pylon. One would be Broncos ball at the 1 and the other would be a Pats touchback.

This will certainly be one they highlight on NFL Network's "Official Review" on Wednesday night.

Tom Brady sucks.
Hell yeah.

Sorry I hate the Pats.

Chump definately let up.
Could have been a huge play, but worked out in their favor.

Pats fumble punt on own 15.
game looks to be over.

Pats suck.

It was a great play by Champ but he should have finished it and kept running hard until he got the TD. To me, I am truly impressed when a guy on the opposing team, shows a ton of heart, comes out of nowhere and blasts him. Too bad "Jacked Up" still isn't playing...that would have definitely made the list.

I hate the Patriots as well, but I will give praise to Ben Watson for racing the whole field from the other corner to as far as im concerned cause a fumble throught the endzone and a touchback. One of the best efforts I saw all season.

I am just tired of the whole Pats media love. The thing that got me the most is when Tom Brady said his team was disrespected. How is a team that the media cant shut up about winning three in a row, disrespected?

Although I call him Chump from time to time, he's the only "high profile" player I respected after he left. He left because of the coaching carousel, lack of continuity and no future that had been layed out infront of him. I dont blame him for leaving. (Smoot....thats a different story)

Im glad to see him getting what he sought after and thats a ring and a winning organization.

Don't forget the fat contract as well...but your right Champ (I never call him Chump) did it right. He played out his rookie contract while never holding out (even tough DS was paying big $$$ for hasbeens) and tested the waters and got a great deal.
