So I'm hanging out at my favorite bar, where everyone knows I'm a Redskins fan. Everyone...and I mean everyone...is busting on me saying the Skins don't have a chance in hell this weekend. I respond, "If you think the Seahawks are going to dominate the Skins and win by 10+ as the pointspread suggests, you're all on crack." They then, of course, start focusing on last week's offensive performance.
My response was simply this:
DEFENSE
WINS
CHAMPIONSHIPS
With that, I said to everyone to look for a Redskins-Bears final for the NFC East crown (even though I'd really prefer the Panthers to win, since I'd rather travel to Charlotte) They laughed it off.
We'll see who has the last laugh on Sunday.

Act incredibly self important? You mean by doing something like judge other people that you don't know from Adam?
... while you were looking down from your view atop the soap box, you deemed yourself worthy of judging who's acting self-important though... Isn't that itself an act of self-importance?
Did you miss threads like 'Seahawks will whomp the Skins' and 'Any Skins fans with Super Bowl tickets' that your own fan base started on a REDSKIN MESSAGE BOARD? (You do know where you are, right?) I'm just curious because they were easily the most 'self-important' threads this week.

Okay, I'll do it. But I do this ony to spare others from the wrath of the Pink Straw.

I would say that I hate to say I told you so, but honestly, I don't. I told you so.
I didn't create this thread, Boss Hog, so don't get in MY face because of other fans, that's just a limp defense. You guys talked a whole bunch of smack in the face of Rhew and I making long "may the best team win" posts, and then when we called you on it, you got all uppity.
It hardly matters now, what's done is done. See you next season.

If you are offended by being lumped in with people who act like dirt, maybe you should put more thought into the company you keep.

The battle on the field is done and all who were watching saw what happened, no need for anyone to really elaborate what we all saw with our own eyes.
The final message is on the field no matter what anyone says, one team did what they had to do, one teams going home, and congratulations to both on good seasons.
Enough is Enough... this can all be continued when these two good teams meet in the NFC title game next year..

Congrats Seahawks! It will be interesting to see how you treat the NFL's MVP. I think he is owed a big fat contract and it will be very interesting to see if this classy organization gives him one. I did not think he was going to get a lot of yards against our D! Go ahead, sign him and trot him out for your team next year.
I'm pretty sure we will be back in the playoffs next year - see you there, with your MVP!
We'll be watching how you handle next week too!

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

howdy guys
Sorry I'm late, but I spent all night in Pioneer square celebrating a hard fought victory. I told you I would be back checking the threads, reading about which team the redskins would be playing in the nest round. Reading about how excited everyone still was because you got to play them overratted Hawks. About how the Hawks defense was ranked 17th in the HFL, and you put up 52 against the niners. Wow, what a happy day in skinsville. Relish this guys. Oh by the way this is just the beginning, I am getting mine, and every post I read makes me happier and happier, so please guys don't stop writing on my account, tell me how it was a fluke, or how your kicker lost it for ya, or how could Jesus Gibbs call a 4th and 13 pass play in the third quarter? Keep em comming I love it.
Ron Simmons Redskins 1983-1985. 1984 Superbowl Champion. He's got your back.
Dude... please take it to smack if you wanna talk smack.
Or don't post at all.
We really don't care what you post in Smack... there are no rules. But don't think you're going to start flaming every thread in the general forums... well, not for very long anyway.
You have been asked nicely now to obey the rules.
Thanks.
