All I can say is: Thank you Joe.
I second that

It was heartbreaking... but the seahawks were a step ahead of us, I only hope that next year we can come out with the same intensity and pride that we have come to see this year.
It sucks because its another offseason... to put things into perspective i'm not as upset about us not getting closer to the championship as i am that this season of seeing the redskins finally play good football is over, because all my life all that i can remember is the skins sucking it up and now that they started playing better i have finally had something to really be proud of and enjoy watching, and i hate the fact that i have to wait another 8 months to see it again.
No matter how this game went, i am proud of this team, this coach, and this organization, and am proud to call myself a fan of the washington redskins.
This team deserves a standing ovation as soon as they arrive back and i hope everyone does whatever they can to make it so..
HAIL TO THE REDSKINS HAIL VICTORY

True. They showed a lot of heart, and I take my hat off to that.

This question has been put forth as a poll and asked on the board quite a bit, "Do you think that this season has been a success?" And, the answer is most definitely a resounding YES! Yes we lost, but we have so much to look forward to next year. The upgrade at a few key positions and we should go even further next year. That is something to look forward to and keep us going during this offseason. Thanks to the Skins faithful who hung in there! Thanks to the players who played their hearts out this season. And thanks to the coaches and the Head Coach, Joe Gibbs, for bring us back to respectability, sweeping Dallas and the Iggles, and getting to the playoffs and going as far as we did. To all of this I say, "HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!"

Well, my power went out with the score 17-10 and the skins recovering a fumble deep in Seahawks territory. It just came on a few minutes ago, and I'm saddened by the results. However, it has been a great season, and the Redskins have put themselves on the map again in the NFL. I look forward to another strong but relatively quite off-season and a strong SB run next season!
After thinking about it a bit more, todays game reminded me alot of the 3 game losing streak (sorry to bring that up again, i do apologize). In those 3 games i think we played well but we came up just short and today the same thing happened, and retrospectively if we had won those 3 games we might be talking about a win at fedex right now instead of a loss at qwest (just sparking some imaginations with all this).
BUT I think that this team has too much going for it for a streak like that to happen again next year, and if that is so then i think we have a lot to look forward to.

The Redskins had their chances. A couple of plays they almost made, but didn't. The Rogers almost-INT just after the FG: 14 point difference, because Seattle threw long, moved, and scored.
Then the 3rd and 4 conversion they missed just before Hall missed the 36-yard FG.
Then missing with the blitz that allowed the Seattle FB his long run to set up their FG.
Obvious problem when Ray Brown went out for a couple of series.
The team, as usual, played beyond the talent of the individual players. That's what makes Gibbs a winner. Has the NFL passed him by? Whoever thinks that is a moron.
Good team. They will add a couple of WR's, a pass rush DE, and deepen the OL.
This Gibbs team is not finished being built, but they are close.

It takes a loss
It takes a loss to understand excactly where a team stands. You brought the best you had and it wasn't enough. Blah, blah, blah. We could go on for hours. The offense gave you what it gives you every game, 300 yards of offense. Its amazing to look at the final numbers, because this game was so normal for Seattle's bend don't break defensive scheme. We were a top 3 NFL, run stopping defense, I told you that earlier, and low and behold 60 yards on the ground. I was told by you that Gibbs runs the ball 40 times a game, he sets the tone, and I said he couldn't. Oh and I felt a little justice in Taylors punishing hit on my boy DJack. He hit him so hard he didn't get back up, although DJack bounced right up after a 30 yard pass play. You see DJack can get wide open on anyone, Springs, taylor whomever. The skins got beat in the trenchs, the oline gave up too much pressure, and the Dlike couldn't get through. Thats where you lost the game. I hoped you all tivo'd it so you can watch how the Seahawks did it to you, they run the ball and stop the run, simple. And they win doing it. I did feel
ey had a great game he looks awesome, might draft me a skin next year in fantasy football. Toodles (yes holmgrins belly will be playing in the NFC championship game)

Ron Simmons Redskins 1983-1985. 1984 Superbowl Champion. He's got your back.
I could go into how Clinton being so obviously banged up had an awful lot to do with it but I think you would just take it as me giving you an excuse.
Truthfully.... our offense just couldn't account for a less than 100% Portis, losing our best o-lineman, losing HIS backup, and no receiver threat other than Moss.
Your defense was true to form and bent but didn't break.... but I'd be lying if I said I didn't think it had as much to do with what we DIDN'T do as to what you did do.
But the Hawks did do what they had to do... not trying to take that away from them... there is no way for me to hypothesize that with a healthy portis and Randy Thomas that we would have had more success with our bread and butter running game. We just didn't have the passing game this year to over-compensate for our running game disappearing.
I'd wish you luck going forward but it wouldn't be genuine.
I'll just say congratulations on a deserved victory.

Thanks Boss
It can't be easy to moderate these forums today, especially if you do this for a hobby, (not employed). I really have enjoyed this week. I am quite amazed at how much fun this forums thing can be. I need to find a good Seattle one and check it out. I happened across you guys from a washington post article I believe. Anyways you guys will be back next year that I am positive of, great foundation. I was impressed with cp this year, I figure he was the product of a solid Denver oline and wouldn't be much in Washington, but his second year here was pretty good. Also I love your Moss. Jets fans screaming everywhere how they got robbed. A plus 3 turnover ratio against one of the best defenses in the NFL, and we still won, who would have thought it was possible. Kinda like have 120 total yards offense and pulling out the V. Yea I can see us meeting again next year, all I can hope is that its in my home field. You guys have a good draft.
