Snyder did the best thing an owner can do: brought in someone who knows what he's doing and got out of his way.

Saw Snyder in the background of the "in the locker room" clip on the .com he looked happy, he should've been what a clutch victory that was.

I was thinking the same thing the other day. Its a great thing!! I remember having heated arguments with smug Patriot fans about how Snyder would defer to Gibbs and they just rolled their eyes. Now I bring it up, all the time, how you never hear from Snyder. (although I never do an "I told you so")

Shut up

How much do you wanna bet that if Snyder says something silly, Gibbs will straight tell him to shut up - in a nice, Christian way, of course?

I used to love when Chris Berman would call him "white shirt Vinny" on ESPN..

I always kind of like Vinny those rare times you see him interviewed on tv or hear him on the radio. He seems like a decent guy. Hopefully he'll learn something working with Gibbs these years and become a good football GM too!

Is he GM or is it VP of operations or something like that? Whatever. He and Snyder were clearly responsible for alot of terrible moves these past few years.

thats pretty much what has happened to synder and cerrato.
they are there but this time they are letting the man who knows the game and what he needs to be successful.all they need to do is help joe gibbs get the players, coaches he needs.

better yet joe gibbs is in charge and the others are very quiet.

Cerrato almost ran over NikiH after the Giants game.

Dan has done a good job staying out of the way and staying behind the scene. I think though if they go deep in the playoffs he will resurface. :x

I was standing with JF, Niki, and Jackson in the players parking lot after the Skins / Giants game and we saw Cerrato get in a nice car and drive off. I guess he's still hanging around, presumably doing something. . .

I wonder just how hands on Dan is now. Does he meet with Gibbs regularly and have any input on decisions. Going from hands on to hands off owner must have been quite an adjustment for him. Wonder if he ever chewed out Gibbs like he did Turner after losses.........

Are you serious? Joe Gibbs would slap Danny to the ground.

That is what I would expect to happen. I think Danny knows better than to mess with Gibbs. But didn't he really lay into Turner after some bad losses...............

I think that Snyder has realized that his best public role is to stand in the background while Joe Gibbs wins the games. More satisfying than giving interview after interview while Spurrier slops through the games.

Cerrato? Isn't he supposed to quietly sort through free agents and college players for Gibbs and the coaches?
