One of the keys to a win Sat. put Simms on his back!!!
The first thing that I will be wanting to see on Saturday is Simms getting hurried and ending up flat on his back!!!I'm hoping that are defensive line will heavily out play, Tampa's offensive line and burst threw and blow up there plays and not even give Simms time to throw a deep bomb!!!I think Griffin is going to be the key to get the pressure going!!!I'm hoping for a big day From Greg willams unit!!!Lets go redskins!!We Want Tampa!!!We want Tampa!!!
RG3....Super Man....check out my socks!!!

Well Griffin and Taylor wasnt present in the 1st game that should make a BIIIIG difference!
"It's almost like, you play a kid's game for a king's ransom," he said. "And if you don't take it serious enough, eventually one day you're going to say, 'Oh, I could have done this, I could have done that."

one thing i think the skins need to make sure and do is to be better at stopping the run than they were agianst philly.. tamps will try to run the ball to help simms with any pressure he is getting... skins did a great job the first time around against cadillac and they just need to keep it up.
May #21 never be worn again by another Redskin but may every Redskin play like they are wearing #21 on their backs.

Keys to the Game
Here are the things I feel we need to do on Saturday in order to advance to the divisional round. Please feel free to add any that you think I am missing.
I am only including things that I don't feel we are doing well now, so please don't add something super obvious like "run the ball with Portis."
1. Avoid another slow start on the road.
We finished the year with a solid 4-4 road record, but we started slow on the road in a number of games, including last Sunday, falling behind 17-7. We fell behind Tampa by scores of 7-0, 14-3, and 21-10, fell behind Dallas 13-0, fell behind the freakin Cardinals 10-3, and obviously never even got started in the Meadowlands. We need to avoid falling behind early in a road playoff game. That could be impossible to overcome against a good team.
2. Effective kickoffs
Is it just me or does it drive anyone else absolutely crazy when we kick the ball off and the other team returns it out to the 38? That seems to happen way, way too much. I remember after the second Portis TD put us ahead 24-20 on Sunday, I was feeling great, and Hall kicks it out of bounds. We have to stop doing that. We need our opponents consistently starting at the 25, not the 40. There's hidden yardage there that makes a big difference in field position.
3. 3rd and short play calling
It seems like every time we have a 3rd and 1 or 3rd and 2 we do the same play action rollout to the left play. The Eagles were all over it and had it covered all day. I was especially upset when we had 3rd and 1 at the Philly 6 towards the end of the first half, called that play, didnt get it and had to settle for a FG to make the score 17-10. On 3rd and 1 we should be able to line it up and run for a yard with a big offensive line and a 1500 yard back.
4. Blitzing defensively when the other team has a 3rd and long
This drives me crazy. It's 3rd and 11 and the other team is screwed, and then I see Sean Taylor and all the LBs coming up for the blitz. They get picked up and there's some crappy TE or slot WR open over the middle for 13 yards and a first down. Chris Simms is an inexperienced QB, I say on 3rd and long we hang back and force him to beat us. I feel this way now more than ever because our CBs are banged up and we can't afford to have them out on an island.
If we are successful in taking care of these 4 flaws, I think we will be able to win this game, and maybe even make a run deep into the NFC playoffs.

No more Master of the Obvious pictures?

As you pointed out we did that last week also. I think that stemmed from

We definatley need some help from AB this week also. He needs to be a better judge on ball spin in regards to when to allow a punt to sail over his head. We also need him to get some positive yardage on our kick returns. He's been solid but returning it to the 50 yard line 1 out of 3 games wouldn't hurt.

Its not the blitz, its the lack of attention that our front four commands. Nobody on our front four line demands a double team so that allows for the oline to pick up the blockers. It seems that when we blitz everything becomes a jumbled mess. We need to spread out the defensive line to allow some pockets for our blitzers to get in thru. I'd like to see some more delay blitzes also.
However, Im not too hot on the blitzes with our 2ndary being banged up.
Oh goodness, please Gregg Williams pay attention to this. WATCH OUT FOR THE RB dump off pass. Tiki had a field day with it and Caddillac will too. We never seem to protect against that much.
The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!
