Rating or D Line

Post by DaveButzguy »

In order of importance. Who has been the best and most consistent and who has been a let down. I don't get many complete games. I know it seems they get the most cricism. Seems Daniels has really come alive as of late and big Joe has been showing up (A sense a little Dave Butz in him, clogging up the middle).....I gotta believe they draft a couple D lineman in the upcoming draft.

I think Griffin is our best D-Lineman, but Daniels has played great the past month.

I don't think we have a "letdown" guy per se, but I would like to see more from Reynaldo. He is not a bum, but if he were half as good at rushing the passer as he is against the run, then we would be in good shape.

No question about it -- Griffin is our best lineman. Not even close. When he's played, the entire line has done well. When he hasn't played (e.g., TBay) we haven't done as well.

Like all sports, you must protect the middle of the field and Griffin does that for us. I remember when Greg Wms came to the Skins and said, if you can't stop the run up the middle, you're in trouble. He said it's imperative that you do whatever it takes to stop this, even it means putting more guys there. Once you do that you worry about the edge.

Daniels and Wynn are good support players.

Griffin is the anchor, no doubt

All of our guys have been part of our success. Although Wyn is criticised he is darn good in run support. Its hard to find a DE who can pass rush and equally as good stop the run. Dwight Freeny gets run on like theres no tommorow.

Ive critisized our D-line alot this year but since Griffin has come back theyve been pretty good. Griffin is the best overall lineman we got no doubt. Overall they all have great run support. A passrushing pressure guy will help solidy an already decent D-line. A mix of young talent and Veteran leadership the D-line will only get better. To see things unfold and mature like it has after a couple years of losses its nice to see the tide turning. We actually have a legit shot at making the Superbowl and who knows what we can do when we get in. 8)
