Brees injury

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Brees injury

Post by 1niksder »

Drew Brees was initially diagnosed with a separated shoulder after his throwing arm got contorted as he attempted to recover his fumble in the second quarter.

Head coach Marty Schottenheimer said "the dislocation came back on its own," but Brees will undergo tests to see if his labrum was damaged. Surgery is a possibility.

Link can be found in the THNHuddle

Chris Mortenson is reporting surgery will be needed... maybe another QB off the market

brees wasn't going to be on the market anyway...he's the leader of that team and they are going to sign him to an extension and get rid of rivers, whom they will probably trade to the jets.
Sean, may you always rest in peace and look down on us with the same love that we look up to you.

Hail to the Redskins!

I really felt that San Diego was going to keep both these guys anyway - I think this makes that an easier decision.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Agreed and that was my point. They were thinking of shopping Rivers to the Jets. Thats would not be a good idea now

Surgery this week won't pick up a football for four months

Actually, I think the Chargers will now just keep Rivers and let Brees walk.

Yes, Brees may be the leader of the football team and he is a heck of a QB, but since they didn't get to the Playoffs this year, they might as well use the highest paid backup in the league.

And that sucks for Brees, he tears up his arm during his contract season.

Don't the Jets have Chad Pennington and Jay Fiedler? That is one good quarterback, unless they feel he is an injury liability, and one decent QB in Fiedler... I wouldn't think they'd want to pay for 3 QB's that have lead teams into the playoffs

I think they have pretty much given up on Chad as the starter and are hoping that he will at least be able to play again. Jay hasn't gotten it done anywhere he has been

Brees should land a gig in the NFL again, there is no way his accomplishments over the past two seasons can go overlooked.
Back and better than ever!
