Burgundy on burgundy?

Post by hkHog »

Last time we played in Tampa they wore white jerseys. If they do that again do you think we might see the burgundy on burgundy look? I personally am not a fan but I know a lot of you guys are.

BTW, in this thread there used to be a pic of Taylor Jacobs, I believe, wearing burgundy on burgundy but the link doesn't work anymore:

Does anyone have any pics?

I'm no fashion designer but that looks pretty cool to me. Hell' i don't care if they wear their jeans and tennis shoes at this point. Just glad to be in the playoffs.

I agree, thats looks too slick.

I like the white on white but I have burgundy in my veins. Its always baffled me why most of you guys like the uni with the least amount of burgundy in it.

BURGUNDY AND GOLD SUCKAZZ!

Now, if we're winning with all white Im all for it.

You haven't watched the last 5 games, have you?

I love the burgundy on burgundy look but if the white on white isn't broke, don't fix it.

5-0 in the whites, besides it not our choice anymore

1. Tampa will wear red and pewter= white on white
2. Seattle will wear blue on blue= white on white
3. Carolina is the only possibility to wear white jerseys, thus being our only burgendy on burgendy opportunity.

As far as the Bowl I don't know who gets the choice.

I have a feeling it won't be white on white for us. Tampa sees that's what we've worn the last 5 games and as silly as it seems they will want to knock us out of whatever works.

I hope we wear white on white. The players seem to love it and that's all that matters to me.

Now that I see the pic I changed my mind, I think it does look pretty cool. The reason I brought this topic up is because as Niki pointed out even though Tampa normally wears their orange or red or whatever the hell their color is at home they forced us to wear burgundy last time. Will they do that again? I think there's an excellent chance they will.

Tampa Bay's color is called "pewter"

I was at the 1999 playoff game and all over town there were signs that said Pewter Power.

We can play in our Jock straps this week. Playing Gibbs for the second time won't be fun for the Bucs.

The one thing that could help the B on B would be some black cleats. That would surely set that thing on fire! The black cleats that Portis sports are awesome and would definately flow with the all burgundy.

Only problem is Tampa is the home team so they get to pick what they wear. If they wear white jerseys, like they did last time, we aren't allowed to wear white under NFL rules.

I don't care if they wear cheerleader outfits as long as they wear underwear. Just kick some Tampa booty.

Amen and Amen! Our team has totally gelled (are you gellin'?) over the last 5 weeks. A total and complete turnaround having nothing to do with uniform color. The Skins are out for blood this Saturday and they'll get it.
"The biggest misrepresentation there is that [it's because] Dan's got a lot of money. That's not it," Gibbs said. "We've got a rule. Believe me, if we had no rules, Dan would spend some money."

Speaking of the white on whites..can someone check if we have EVER lost with them???? I'm not talking about just this year. I believe we went 3-0 in them with spurrier one year. Maybe lost once in them? I don't remember it if we have...

Yes, we lost with them under Spurrier, after which, we didn't wear them any more, until this year.
Back and better than ever!
