Kearse Rumor

Post by SkinsBravesVATech »

Long-time reader, first time poster.

I just saw on another redskins board that Channel 7 is reporting that we are close to wrapping up Kearse. http://www.hailredskins.com/vbforum/showthread.php?s=3651718228c51f191b03c2e182d31f92&threadid=9335[/quote]

BH,

Since you're our resident "cap expert", any idea or guesses at to what Kearse would cost us in the short term, long term, signing bonus, etc.?
Sit back and watch the Redskins.

SOMETHING MAGICAL IS ABOUT TO BEGIN!

How can they be close to a deal? Arent teams supposed to stay away from free agents until Wednesday unless its a trade. Oh well....I hope its true, of all the big name D-Linemen we have signed over the years The Freak is the best.

Bringing him in might be another sign of unavoidable cap hell down the road a few years from now. I hope we start spending wisely now that we have the studs we needed filling big time holes.

This could get interesting, becasue as good as he is, he is a risk to sign for big money...

It isn't tampering if the Titans gave us permission to speak with Kearse - which is likely since they didn't tag Kearse to allow him to seek the level that he could get paid - that would seem to indicate that they were willing to let him talk...

I heard that he would be willing to play for 5 mil a year under Gregg Williams in Washington. That wouldn't be too bad. :D
